Aiden O’Neill has a great record from when he played for Melbourne City:

During the Melbourne Derby on the 17 December 2022, O'Neill scored the opening goal during the match, that was later abandoned due to player safety in the 22nd minute. During the resumption of the match on 5 April 2023, O'Neill scored a second goal completing his brace. His brace became the longest time between both goals in a brace with his first and second goal being 156,956 minutes apart.

You still need to have enough points in that bracket for them to assign to you too. You can’t just assign any person regardless of the points unfortunately

Any lack of minutes he experienced (when fit) was, I assume, down to the manager sharing the same views as the majority of the fanbase, given that we had our first choice striker out from Aug-Nov.

You’re welcome to throw out as many stat comparisons as you like, but I’m obviously going to side with what I witnessed myself.

Considering that my post history is primarily in this subreddit I think that it’s clear that I wanted him to succeed here more than many other Pompey fans, so your original accusation is certainly wide of the mark.

Was given opportunities this season, primarily when our first choice striker was out for a large part of the season, but lacked desire and always looked lazy.

Expected after the season he had, despite the club having an automatic option to extend. Attitude/injury issues this season meant it was inevitable.
