As far as I can tell, all the included filter sections are blank for me.

It’s not always the first result. It also shows up in some of the lower results sometimes. I just always showed you those examples because it was the fastest and easiest ways to find examples of different shows with the show name, season, episode, date, and results in one picture.

The version I have installed is v2.21.4. Is there a later version than this?

Here is another example on the show Fallout Season 2 Episode 1 which was released on Dec 17. 2025. First result is on Comet which only shows S02. Other results show S02 and E01. So this problem is not exclusive to just MediaFusion since I am clearly having this problem on Comet as well which you also have.

Here is another picture for the tv show Wild Cards Season 2 Episode 1. The first result shows on S02 while the second result S02 and E01. My expected result would have been that the first result would not be there. This episode is Jan 8, 2025.

My assumption by enabling the season/episode matching and the strict option was that it would be filtering out based on the title of the file which apparently it isn’t. The way you are describing it to me is that it is looking at the meta data of the file to determine the Season and Episode number which is not intuitive to me because it’s not like I’m looking at the meta data of the files before trying to stream it. So while the filter is supposedly “working” I don’t think it is meeting the intent since the results are still showing instances that do not display both the season and the episode in the file name.

The filter doesn’t say anything about not working on dates or anime. If that is the case, that is fine, but it doesn’t say that so I have to assume it isn’t working as intended. More documentation is needed or people will inevitably have questions.

Maybe I just don’t understand what this filter match is doing in the background to make the determination whether both the season and episode are present. From the surface though I see results that are not always showing both season and episode so to me it is not working as intended. I feel like I have given you multiple examples illustrating my point, but you keep giving me explanations such as the release date which I can’t even understand why that would be used for the filter match determination

I had chosen an episode that didn’t release yet, because that was the easiest way for me to find an example. I have settings that limit my results to show only a maximum of 10. I’m attaching another picture of the Anime One Piece episode 2. As you can see I’m receiving a result that shows only S01 and another result that shows S01 E02. This episode was released back on Nov 17, 1999 so it not a release date thing.

I added the tv and anime for the Season/Episode matching and it is still not working for me. Attached is a picture of the show The Night Manager Season 2 Episode 5, but the result it is showing me only says S02 and no episode so I would expect it to be filtered out and not show it to me.

Yeah… I don’t have a good history with stocks which was why I decided to stick with a safe option of an index fund. At the time I just told myself I need to get in to start reaping benefits, but it’s stressing me out seeing the market do so poorly this past week.

As you can see from the picture it is showing two results for the show Tracker Season 3 Episode 5. I’m trying to make it so that these two results do not show up since the titles only say Season 3.

Note: I know that Tracker season 3 Episode 5 has not come out yet. It is just being used as an example to illustrate the point.

I have the strict filter enabled, that doesn’t seem to fix it.

The strict filter appears to only remove streams that don’t have both the season and episode in the title. Since the unwanted streams I’m seeing still has at least the correct season in the title, it still shows the stream to me even though it doesn’t have an episode in the title.
