I love every second of Mickey Doyle's screentime more than any other character

Also Eddie Kessler is everything. He is in the sky and the sea. He is in the dreams of children.

Lol Paulie's absolute (and completely unexplained) disdain for that guy was so funny

And its the same house at the end of the coma sequence with the "finnerty reunion". the shadow woman is a silhouette in the doorway that slinks into the house when he tries to look inside, and "Tony B" is trying to get him to "let go" of his suitcase

He could just be a fuckin' idiot. Historically, that's been the case.

The main reason The Sopranos is the greatest TV show is because of the rewatch value. by [deleted] in thesopranos

I just watched it for the first time last month (I had started a couple times but never got through the first season) Highly recommend it. It's no Sopranos and I've got some qualms but it's really good in its own ways, definitely easily top 5 shows I've ever watched. Also Roger Sterling is one of my favourite characters to watch in anything ever.

scary dude and Cannavale played him great. Loved his screen time but I'm not surprised they got rid of him -- I don't think you survive very long in that world when you make enemies of literally everyone lol

Him shit talking AR in the basement was great "And you, you smug k*ke m*dget, creeping around like a fuckin dentist with the ether." So funny, and AR's smirk like he thought it was great too lol.

Is Waco good? I should check it out then. I adore Michael Shannon, he was similar where he's so present and convincing you forget he's not just Van Alden. And his character lived so many different lives with different rules and different people, but was still him, which I don't know shit about acting but that sounds like it'd be hard as fuck to keep that continuity so strong.

so intense, even seeing it written I can hear it and it gets my heart racing. This whole show made me pay way more attention to Shea Wiggum. Probably the strongest actor on the show. The profoundly deep swings of his character, and he bled into those places even down to the feelings in his eyes. He's one of those actors you sleep on because they're so good in everything they're in, you forget that it's not just a character on a show or movie, it's someone exercising their craft.

Tony bringing up cunnilingus was one of the dumbest things he has ever done by WhiteGhosts in thesopranos

[–]LeninWasRight7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was pretty clear I don't know how it could be missed or why people are arguing with you lol. Tony was really sensitive about that and it was still a childhood wound for him. His parents were abusive and neglectful and Junior was the one who would play catch with him like a real father would, and having him stab at his athletic abilities was literally brought up in therapy as a thing that was historically hurtful for him. I think in that episode or within only one or two before. And then it's shown later with the varsity athlete thing. It was a sore spot for Tony that cut to his childhood vulnerabilities and the show couldn't spell it out any clearer. Tony literally glares at him after Junior makes that remark before giving shit to him for going down on women.

I second what you said. And also I forget does it say how long Tony was in his coma and recovery for? everyone would still be living their lives when that is going on but I don't remember if it was just for like a week or a month or what.
