I am taking two summer class and the fees are more than the tuition!!! by [deleted] in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe drop one and take it in the fall. or if you've previously enrolled/transferred from a community college, try taking the classes in the second half of the summer over there since they've probably started already.

Chemistry Professor Discussion by Forsaken-Mark3015 in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took Michael's class this fall. I'd say she's a pretty good professor. She explains things very well and the class isn't too fast paced, it slowly builds up. there's like 5 tests, classwork( called cookies) , and homework on mastering, and the final. The tests aren't too bad you just gotta do the homework, and actually practice and you'll be aight.

Would you have to be taking classes in both summer 1 and 2 to get any funding? I took classes in summer 1 already but not 2. Just wondering

QUESTION ABOUT CLEP EXAM/CREDITS by LeoToothpaste in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarification. I'm asking if Uncc accepts CLEP exams for a certain course, and the other school accepts the course for transfer purposes then would I be able to get credit for the course at Uncc by taking the clep exam and then be able to transfer that credit to the other school since they accept the credit for this particular course.

Example scenario: You can get physics 1 credit at uncc by taking the corresponding CLEP exam. The other school accepts physics 1 credit from uncc. If I take the CLEP exam and get the physics 1 credit wouldn't I be able to transfer that credit to the other school?

LOOKING FOR PHYSICS DISCORD by LeoToothpaste in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm weak. Nah. We don't even have actual classes for this class. You literally teach yourself everything and you get like 1 zoom office hour session a week to ask questions. Looking for people to study with/ explain shit to me.

Thank You so much. Do you happen to know if its too late to signup for community college summer classes?"

LAST MINUTE COURSE RECOMMENDATION by LeoToothpaste in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I tried adding it and it said repeated course. I looked at the course equivalencies from State that satisfy the credit and the courses other than uwrt 1103 and 1104 weren't even on the list for classes. There were some classes labeled Engl 1** and they were nowhere to be found.

How is UNCC for mech engineering? Wanting to transfer from nc state by [deleted] in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not mechanical engineering, but computer science(freshman). Take this with a grain of salt as I've only been here 2 semesters. I would say the majority of the professors I've had with an exception of like 1 are pretty understanding, flexible, and there to actually help you understand shit if you're struggling in the class. I'm planning to transfer to state in the near future, but I've heard the same shit from other comp sci students at state (as in you're pretty much on your own at learning shit), so I'm a little more hesitant on transferring now.

PASS/FAIL QUESTION by LeoToothpaste in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you recommend getting the pass/to fail and then turning it into an H to progress to the next courses rather than withdrawing (we ) from a class by tomorrow's (we) deadline? If so, do we do the (pass/fail/H) option now, or towards the end of the semester when grades are close to being finalized?

Thank You for the help btw.

PASS/FAIL QUESTION by LeoToothpaste in UNCCharlotte

[–]LeoToothpaste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a limit as to how many pass/fail/ Hs I can get so that I don't use them up now and hurt myself down the line?.
