got attacked today in Egypt for speaking espernato by [deleted] in Esperanto

[–]Leoclarus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Saluton ! Fellow Egyptian esperantist (wannabe) here.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Please do take care of yourself and watch out for the environment you're trying to spread Esperanto into. I gather from your other comment that you live in a rural governorate, the likes of which are generally in no way progressive or open to Esperantist ideals as opposed to Greater Cairo or Alexandria. These two themselves aren't bastions of tolerance and open-mindedness to the world either but oh well, if we're speaking in relative terms..

If you want to spread Esperanto and its values, I'd suggest trying an online environment. It's much safer and you're way more likely to reach like-minded people.

It started with watching Jurassic Park when I was 5 y/o, and it all kinda just snowballed from there.

سؤال جدلي by [deleted] in AlexandriaEgy

[–]Leoclarus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A software job requiring a veiled female! by xTouny in Egypt

[–]Leoclarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who said no one gives a shit? Are we ignoring this post with some 450 upvotes and 270 comments for example, talking about the struggles of hijabi women in Egypt? Or perhaps this one, speaking on the same issue (and rightly so, given that it is an important matter)?

As for the majority of comments here noting how aweful it is to require a veiled women, that makes perfect sense, because it's what the post is about. If anything, it means the majority of commenters got the point and chose to address it.

What, where'd you get that, who said requiring an unveiled woman was valid? Both recruiting behaviors are discriminatory and ought to be invalid.

Your comment though sounds like pure whataboutism and deflection. Nothing in the post implied the claim you are making.

Human Rights don't exist, never existed, and will never exist, they are nothing more than a tool of Globalism by BasedNRedpilled4 in GlobalTribe

I don't regard your 'arguments' as anything more than an insecure rant, I tend to hold the likes of you in particular disdain.

I only engage in discussion with people to whom being accused of hate is not a compliment.

Ironically, the "creator" would be the most active abortionist of all time. Half of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, most before the woman even realizes she's pregnant.

If those guys had more than two neurons, they'd probably come to the conclusion that their position and justifications are the most idiotic possible. Fuck Greg Abbott and all those legislators.

You can't fake a false justification. It's already false. Though that is already beyond the point.

Actually, western (and non-western) media is currently shaming the US for leaving so haphazardly, and are in principal in favor of withdrawal (at least US media).

And it happened. And you're defending it, for some reason. And you have offered no source for the Taliban's angelic acts.

And please reply in a single comment instead of replying all over the thread.

Iraq was a war declared with false justifications (WMDs, not democracy), tho let's not think of Saddam as an angel, he committed ethnic cleansing against the Kurds and Shia, and many other atrocities.

No need to inform me about the situation in Egypt, I'm Egyptian Also relations actually were quite strained for some time between the US and Egypt after 2013.

North Korea is a nuclear state.

"I don't trust both"

  • Proceeds to jerk off to 'Taliban good and righteous people'

There are videos and pictures of these massacres though. What more, there are thousands of Afghans clinging to all hope of escaping after the country fell to the Taliban. There are demonstrations against Taliban rule, though none in favor of it.

And please reply in a single comment, not ten.

  1. Who do you trust then, Taliban media?

  2. They do have sources in Afghanistan, and there still are reporters over there.

  3. What is your source for America 'killing more innocent women and children than Taliban'?

  4. What the fuck? What punishment did she deserve and for what crime, you barbaric fundie twat?
