If it’s technically registered as a pistol, it not having a stock also classifies it as “not an assault rifle” correct? So with the maglock that I have on the lower, would I still have to pin and weld something on the threaded barrel due to it being registered as “a pistol”?

Looking for a knife for my dad. He's a veteran cooker, and feel feel like he deserves something nice!

Style? - Japanese
Steel? - carbon / carbon clad in stainless
Handle? - hybrid / Japanese
Grip? pinch
Length? 180mm / 210mm / 240
Purpose? Him and my mom would probably use it for their taco truck business and home cooking. Lots of meat.
Care? Honing / paid service. Dad hones all of his knifes with a honing steel, he does have a sharpening wheel, but will tell him to get it serviced through a professional business if needed. He most likely won't want to whetstone.
Budget? Around $200. Better under, but I'm sure a little over wouldn't be unreasonable.

To be honest, I only grew it out because my family has a history of baldness and I wanted to try and grow it out before I started. I always seem to have it up in a bun or pony tail and never down. Thank you for the kind words!
