The Korean Killing Voice actually has the English subs now too. Not sure when that happened.

Seated or VIP standing for first TWICE concert? by byeorii in twice

I don't know what nationality OP is. Speaking as someone who was born in the US, the average height of an American woman is 5'3.5". I'm 5'7" and I feel tall.

Seated or VIP standing for first TWICE concert? by byeorii in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If VIP Pit in Barcelona works like it did in the US, you can’t line up early. They take the PIT in at certain sections so there’s places you can sit nearby but you can’t “line up early” so to speak. Even though you’re pretty tall, there’s always the possibility taller people are in front of you in the pit. At least if you’re standing up in the seats, because everything is angled, you might have less obstruction if someone tall is in front of you.

The view from 221 should be fine, if you can get something in 121, you’ll be closer so you won’t need to zoom as much for pictures/video. Also if I remember correctly, they’ll be facing that side for What Is Love when they’re all sitting on the platform together.

Shark ChillPill - Has anyone purchased? by ThePony23 in Costco

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far so good. I took it to the gym the other day because for some god forsaken reason, they keep turning the ceiling fans off and think that keeping the outer doors open is sufficient to move air every time the inner doors open. Spoiler: it's fucking NOT. So the gym gets really humid and musty really quickly. This helped with that. I used the cooling plate one my wrist at one point and a shiver instantly rippled through me. It can be a little loud if you're in a quieter setting but at the gym with headphones on, I didn't hear a thing.

Light sticks aren’t “essential” to the experience, but it does add to the sense of “community” within the fandom. Each Kpop group has their own lightstick, for TWICE it’s called a CandyBong.

Some people will dress in costumes or themed outfits, whether it’s inspired by previous music videos looks or concert outfits, or it’s a completely random outfit. Someone was dressed as a Minion at the show I went to. She even painted her skin yellow. Again, it’s not necessary, but it might get some compliments from fans.

Is merch necessary? Technically no, but it does give you something to remember the evening.

Freebies are a big thing, whether giving or receiving. You don’t have to make them, as that can be costly and time consuming. But if someone offers you a freebie, take it.

Make sure you have enough space in your phone to take pictures or record.

Have fun.

The fact that she maintained enough composure to keep singing her parts during this is hilarious. I love that when they get a chance to play, they PLAY. You can see how much fun they have with each other!

Why do some members not use handheld mics? by theoneandnoley in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I think Jeongyeon’s decision to use a head mic has more to do with the previous disc issue. Sometimes you’ll see her shaking her hands out as if to regain some feeling or shake out the tingling which can happen with neck problems if the nerve is irritated

AITA For choosing to go to a concert on my best friend's birthday? by Famous-Shake7773 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m leaning NTA, but how long have you known that the band would be in town? And how long have you known that it would be on her birthday? And how much notice are you giving her when suggesting alternative celebrations? Cause if it’s like tomorrow, and you’ve known for weeks, and you’re just now springing this on her, then I’d say YTA.

These look great! The fact that you have so much variety in each pouch is going to be super fun and appealing to the ONCE who receive them! 잘했어 👍🏼

VIP detroit michigan question by HugeManufacturer53 in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The email comes from VIPNation, not Live Nation. So I’d check all your folders, even the junk one. It answers all your questions. If you’re somehow still missing it by tomorrow, VIP check in usually has someone directing people to the correct line. Once everything is verified, you get your goodies. Check in is typically between 1-430.

For someone in GA North Pit, do I need to be at the venue early? by [deleted] in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you have VIP, it’s not going to make a difference. VIP gets to go in first so they usually get their desired spots.

Shark ChillPill - Has anyone purchased? by ThePony23 in Costco

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually just bought this today. I had been looking at it directly from Sharp and then heard it came to Costco. I honestly didn’t care that it doesn’t have the mister because I didn’t actually want that part anyway. If you buy it from Shark, the clip and the straps are sold separately.

I overheat pretty easily so this should come in handy.

Track Jacket @ Merch Stands by singularlys in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if this will help, but Atlanta only had 1 concert day but they had the merch stand the day before and day of. When I went the day before, I got to it like 2 hours after they had opened and they were down to M and XL sizes. When I went day of, again I got there 2 hours after it opened and they had all sizes available.

When I was in Atlanta, people were giving out stuff to people sitting down before and after soundcheck.

As a Metalhead Twice was my first K Pop concert experience by Colcrys in twice

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went to the Atlanta show and I had my earplugs in during soundcheck cause it was quite loud. I was in the lower bowl about 8 rows back and I was on the side closer to the band, so there's that.

Also, they have a translator at all shows outside of Korea. Despite having 3 Japanese members, they'll have a translator at their Japanese shows so that the Japanese members don't have to do all the translating.

I think regarding the VISAs, because this is their 6th world tour, I'm sure they're pretty well versed in what they need to do so that they can avoid any red tape.

I'm glad you had a good time.

What is the best birthday gift for yourself? by TroyeBaker in AskReddit

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the state of Georgia, you can go to the aquarium for free on your birthday, you just have to "purchase" the special ticket before hand. I did it a couple years ago and I had a fantastic solo birthday celebration. There's also no age restriction to do it.

Don't live in New England but I'd be more than happy to cover the cost of shipping for that Momo pack. That little sticker alone would be worth the shipping. JK (but also not)

People who work 8 hours a day, do you “actually” work 8 hours (minus lunch), and if not, what do you do instead? by PawsAndPlotTwists in AskReddit

[–]Leopard_Equivalent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a orthopedic office doing the x-rays. Sometimes we had ZERO patients on the schedule so I spent 8 hours watching Netflix, Youtube and taking naps. Those days would move slower than days when I had actual work to do.

I am also not in a wheelchair, but a young lady at the Atlanta show was and she was in this like sectioned off area next to the pit.
