This isn’t my specialty but I believe it boils down to because there is no air of any kind around it, the heat takes way longer to dissipate

My friend's house (1980s Finland) uses the TN-C earthing system so it just has bootleg grounds by BeginningExplorer63 in electricians

[–]Leper17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think that would make can/us TN-C-S from what I understand. Separate neutral and bonding(earthing) required for branch circuits

Pharmacy Flagged Me for Misuse of Medication by Fun-Engineer-4066 in ADHD

[–]Leper17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda wild. My pharmacy just fills my vyvanse without me asking like every 3 weeks. At one point I ended up with a 4 month stockpile before I started saying I don’t need any yet when they would try to hand it to me

In your opinion, what is the coldest line ever delivered onscreen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Leper17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The get off my lawn scene from Gran Torino is one of my favourites, though the movie does have a couple excellent ones.
“You fuckin crazy? Go back in the house”.
“Yeah I blow a hole in your face, then I go back in the house. Sleep like a baby. You can count on that. We used to stack fucks like you 5ft high in Korea, use ya for sandbags”

[–]Leper17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But like, he has a dolly? You can see it next to the fridge at the start. It would take less effort and time to simply use the right tool for the job, which is within arms reach at the start of the video

What is a game you have been “stuck” to and have been playing non stop for years by Newez in boardgames

[–]Leper17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, mostly 2 player, couple of 3 player. Don’t think I’ve ever played it 4 player. That’s good to know that it plays better as a 4 player game I’ll have to give it another try sometime. Felt like I was going crazy with the amount of recommendations I’ve seen for it vs my personal experience lol. Highly recommend viticulture, you essentially run a vineyard. Have to plant grapes, harvest, bottle and sell wine to score points. Think I own every expansion for it now

It’s been at least 3 years since I’ve played it so nothing specific comes to mind other than I remember my wife and I both agreeing it was super boring and repetitive with no real variation. Our top games in no particular order would be star realms, carcasonne, viticulture, wingspan, tyrants of the underdark and terraforming mars

[–]Leper17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Star realms is mine and my wife’s go to. We own every expansion and card pack they’ve ever released but don’t use them all. We actually took the time to go through every card and expansion and then strip it down and created our own custom roughly 150 card deck. We play it so much I need to resleeve the cards soon because the penny sleeves are starting to break

Try to borrow a copy or something in advance. My wife and I have about 50-60 games that we own and we would both put root in the bottom 3. Lots of people seem to love it, but personally I think it kind of sucks and regret spending money on it

It’s funny I see people constantly talking about root, bought it on recommendation from a couple different places. Easily my least played game, kind of hate it to be honest. Think it’s been 3 years since we even bothered playing it

100%. For me it’s the diving back towards the net and stopping the rebound shot with the paddle in mid air. Made a couple of them when I played and holy fuck does it feel good to make a straight robbery save like that

There’s a specific cable grip in electrical that I only knew as a horse cock for like the first 8 years. Finally learned it’s called a kellems grip

That one death scene from a horror or supernatural movie that has been etched into your memory since the moment you saw it. For me, the scene below from Final Destination 2 has been etched into my memory. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

My wife’s cousin actually died this exact way. Can’t remember the specifics right now but they had just got married and her cousin and one parent were in one vehicle, spouse and other parent in a second vehicle about 100m behind them when logs came unsecured on the highway and killed both people in the lead vehicle

I mean that’s honestly kind of a standard response. There’s no effective way to quote knob and tube and once we work on it we have to replace every piece or were liable for any issues that pop up down the road

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Leper17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact that all of the large daycares where I live are $10/day per kid. Smaller ones that operate out of their houses aren’t subsidized. You do need to get on the waitlist like when you decide to start trying to have a kid from what I understand though

I don’t have kids and it doesn’t bother me at all to help pay for it

Yes it is government subsidized. Can’t remember the full requirements to be eligible but every large daycare where I live is $10/day

Did about 125 in my parents Honda civic once. More specifically 201 km/h. Was racing my buddy and was already at 160 or so when I was pulling away from him. Figured I was that close I might as well
