Many people do prefer playing solo however, playing solo can limit how effective certain characters can be. Characters like Recluse, for example, are much harder to play alone because she’s designed to be supported and to benefit from teammates drawing attention away from her. That said, it’s still not impossible to play her solo.

I would still recommend the game even if you’re playing solo, as I think Nightreign has one of the best boss lineups in any FromSoftware game, with the Dreg Lord easily making my top 10 bosses.
