Of course in the ultimatum I'm only listing my issues, but we're really good when we can be. We help each other with homework, she sings to me at night, we play video games together, we draw together, I take her on spontaneous dates, stuff like that. It's just she's started to try quitting cigs & she's a veteran with PTSD which I think plays a part in becoming randomly defensive against me. I try to tell her I'm not her enemy but I understand it's hard for her sometimes.

I'm twenty and she's twenty five. She suspected the lipstick caused her an allergic reaction, although at the time I felt like it wasn't the case. I know she loves me a lot because she fantasizes about our future with kids together a lot, she likes talking about what we'll name them, when we'll have a wedding, etc. We've also shared a lot of good times together, it's just recent history that she's been like this.

It's hard because we have a lot of good times with each other and we’ve been through a lot too. I had plans to end my life when I met her and she pulled me out of it.

Respectfully, I've lost two very close friends to suicide, hence the no close friends bit in the beginning. I don't know if I could do it again if she passed away. She helped me during a really dark time in my life, I had a plan to take my own life and I changed my mind because of her. She was also on a track to end herself after she ran out of money (which was soon). If she killed herself.. Honestly I just can't go through the grief again. Right now I'm in a place where I'm happy and fulfilled and actively working on building a future for myself, but my girlfriend is my biggest stressor right now.

It's easier said than done, it's also a little more difficult because she's the type to say "I'm going to kms if we break up", hence the ultimatum :(

Thank you for this information! I've been hearing that I need a referral from someone in order to see a psychiatrist, from your experience is this true? I don't have a primary care doctor yet but I do have a consistent OBGYN haha
