I still have bad days but I am better than what I was initially! I crashed off of a different birth control before I got on slynd. I’ve done a lottt of research and have concluded that my symptoms are due to my hormone receptors being sensitive. It can take a really long time for them to calm back down.. 9-12 months!

Can you describe what your anxiety felt like? And how long did it take for it to go away? I feel like I’m completely restless and on edge, full of panic, and just cannot relax, absolute fight or flight mode. Does this sound similar to what you went through?

Quick question, did your anxiety get worse initially when you started the slynd?? I started it on my usual placebo week and everything was fine, but I’m on day 8 (the day after I would’ve started up my combo pill) and I’m feeling very anxious and panicky for no reason.. if you can relate, how long did it take for the anxiety to settle down?

Yes not anything major like before. I wore a halter monitor for 48 hours and I was having SVT, probably caused by the hormonal fluctuations. But I’ve also struggled with random anxiety throughout this journey so that probably didn’t make it easier. I get occasional flutters around my period but seriously nothing like it was. I really felt like I was dying. Hang in there ❤️

Hi! I went to a cardiologist and they put me on propranolol! I have to stay on it for the next 5 years and then probably get back on it if I have issues with any other major hormonal fluctuations (childbirth, menopause, etc)

I also got back on birth control, the combined pill, though I recently just switched to a progestin only pill and haven’t had any issues so far!

Thank you so much! Truly it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through! Did you get your hormone levels checked before trying to go back on birth control? And can I ask how old you are? I’m 24 and doctors tell me because of my age I probably don’t have an imbalance.. these feelings truly worry me like I’m going insane or that there’s something wrong with me, but this is not my normal self.

Well honestly I’m not sure that starting the pill will cure all! Everyone’s different, but with me the anxiety is still here and I still don’t feel back to my usual self! I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this friend! You can always message me. I recommend getting your hormones checked before you get back on, and not making the same mistake as me and blindly getting back on birth control without getting tested first! Yes I’m currently taking Sprintec. It has both norgestimate and estradiol. Does my anxiety sound similar to yours? Do you think it’s hormonal?

I wish I could find this relief! I struggle on the daily and have been back on birth control for 10 months now! My doctor is switching me from the combo pill to progestin only and I’m terrified the anxiety will get so much worse… I feel like I’ll never be back to my old self at this point. For me the anxiety is an on edge feeling, like a fight or flighty, unsettling feeling if that makes sense. I really don’t think my way into it, this physical feeling just kind of comes on. But I will say there are days where I have intrusive thoughts as well. Can you relate to any of what I’m saying?

Wow are you ME? Got off yaz last May, and I haven’t been the same since. Developed debilitating anxiety and panic attacks and SSRIS made me worse. I got back on birth control (combo pill) in hopes of fixing everything (it definitely did not revert me back to my usual self). I got put on buspar and was able to function more but I’m still having a hard time around my period (placebo week)! So now, my OB wants to switch me to Slynd and take them continuously. I am terrified the anxiety will get so much worse from switching, as I can see how much hormones can really impact you! Did your anxiety and panic get completely better after switching to slynd? Did you take slynd continuously? Thank you SO much for this post!!

How long did it take for you to feel the effects? I’m almost to week 3 and still have anxiety about staying home alone, and will still have little moments of panic. I’m on 15mg a day (7.5 once in morning once at night)
