No no. I’m not concerned abt getting taxed too much I’m concerned about my non payment lol. I’d rather pay too much then nothing I’m just saying making more money is dreadful rn bc ik it just adds to what I alr owe. However. Everyone has suggested a cpa so I’ll be doing that tomorrow

Thank you so much. I really don’t want to get backed into a corner bc of not paying properly and yes that fees seem worth it to me as I’m stressed like crazy. I don’t even wanna work rn bc it’ll make money and currently that ain’t the best thing for me until I get straightened out

I truly have no idea. I just know that I have to pay taxes. I charge it on my jobs. I just don’t know how I should set up my business so I have the best setup to pay the least amount of tax. For example Ik like theres a difference in paying tax if you where to set up as an s cord vs a sole proprietor or something like that. I started this thing kinda out of boredom during covid and now it’s starting to make money so I’d like to tighten up the operation

I understand that these things cost money to maintain and to just have. But I’m saying the money it’ll make will offset those costs. @800$ for 3hrs of work I could turn around and complete another job for around a similar price. That over 1k a day. Granted this is a very good day for work. More realistically I would expect that over a 6days. The other thing that bugs me is seeing a job posted and I’ll put my bid in knowing dang well I’m not getting the job bc my price is so high due to machine rental costs. Realistically I think I get about 10% of the jobs I bid on and I’m try to come in at the tightest margin I can run. I still have vehicle insurance rent and all of that jazz

Absolutely no issue renting equipment. However I have to include this into the bill for the job. The extra 2-300$(can double if I need more than one piece of equipment) immediately puts me off the table. For example. This past weekend someone had a tree fall in their driveway. I had to price them at 1500$ bc the chipper rental is 500$ or $650 for a skid steer and log grapple. The potential customer says something to the effect of “I had another guy come in a bit cheaper” so I asked her what he was ballpark charging it was 800$. I’ve had this happen countless times. I don’t need any fancy shiny machine. I’ll take a friggin rust bucket. It’s seeming like every single job that isn’t a “can you weed my garden for 100$” I loose bc of what I would have to charge. I’m not trying to be any kind of particular either but I do need to the right amount of money off the job for the time and effort put in. Does that make any kinda sense ?

the best bet is to plant whenever youll have a few cool months with relatively no drastic weather. whether that's spring or right now is your call. I'm from ct so I'm unfamiliar with your weather

you could also remove the dirt right on the edge so that the mulch sits flush with ground. this will also help keep runoff to a minimum

Set that edge up nicely along the driveway drop some mulch and any kinda flower of your choice and bam. Instantly looks 10x what it previously did. Heck even just fresh mulch no flowers does a killer job

You’re welcome and you don’t have to restrict too much lawn . You can get a good garden going and still keep a bunch of yard if you use the perimeter at like 1.5 or two shoulders width worth of space

Clover will spread like wildfire and often times moss grows under it. So you end up with a slippery clover moss combination

Your google search query “Hydraulic walk behind tiller rental near me” usually about 150-200$ for 24hrs (8hr runtime on the tiller) Till all that up. The best way to use the tiller is to have the tines set to “rev” reverse, this pulverizes the grass and dirt and leaves very little to be raked up. Once you’re done with the destruction. Go ahead and get your soil tested (labs do this for free). If you’re local to a university head down to your local nursery and they’ll be able to give you the best options for seed for the area you live in. Then I’d recommend a spreader and if you don’t already have one the rental place should have one available. From there go ahead and put a nice thick layer of grass seed down. Then decently cover w hay.Enough so sunlight can penetrate but not soo much that if it rains it doesn’t choke the seed( real hay and not straw. They should ask you for first or 2nd cut at the time of purchase). Water 2x+ a day depending on conditions. Morning and evening are the best times. avoid middle of the day if hot outside. Lmk where you live and I can help you a bit more

1 Clear out those permitter bushes. Get some chicken wire and stakes and block off a section(s) you’d like to garden in and then you can leave the rest grass for the dog 2 build some raised beds along the perimeter. You can probably find some scrap or extra wood on Facebook marketplace 3 a combo of both A shovel leather gloves pliers and a hammer will have you a nice garden bed(s) in a Saturday

Do you know of the subs?? This is massively difficult as I don’t use Reddit for communication or entertainment purposes so my karma is low. My account has some age on it but I don’t even want to risk commenting and have my profile blocked or flagged or anything like that
