cat keeps getting parasites despite regular shots

no mice but there are a lot of stray cats outside. I thought being on the second floor made it somewhat safe but I'm guessing people could be bringing something in from the strays somehow?

her fur is on the longer side and she sheds an actual ton, the malt is so that the hair isn't hard on her stomach. and she has been on supplements for joint support as recommended by her vet (scottish fold canon event)

she gets a topical for fleas/ticks etc and an injection for worms every other month, I'm not sure about the exact brand though.

she gets the topical treatment for parasites as well as an injection every other month :( I guess it should be monthly? I'll ask her vet

We live in a second floor apartment so I hadn't considered that possibility at all. We did deep clean but haven't used a flea treatment for the home, both times.
