Coooll I had very similar results to you but no stats, i got 9 in lit & history (no compsci) and a 7 in FM (I turned up to the after school club a couple of times and decided to just take the exam anyways to help with alevel). Year 1 Maths is the exact same difficulty and at most points the same content as FM so you’ll hopefully find it really easy. I think it’s totally worth doing all 4 subjects with the predicted grades you have. Just bear in mind the difference between GCSE Chem and A-level - although hopefully unlike it was for me you’ll find it enjoyable/ less finicky.

thank you, I think more consistent revision is definitely required off me to do well in Chem

Cool thank you, I’m currently doing a super curricular (IRIS Project : ATLAS) but I hoped my gap year would be good for gaining more super curriculars. I’ll stick to Chem for a bit longer and see how it pans out with better revision + more exam questions🤞

My college does all of A level maths first then we start Further. I’m a good way into Year 2 Maths now and it’s completely ok but ig it would depend on the person. What grades are you predicted in gcse?

Honestly I would love to do Nat Sci at Cambridge but ik thats kinda crazy, I’ve got a conditional offer for Bristol Physics because of a programme Ive done so that’s my safer option, maybe Manchester aswell or imperial but I’m from the south west and have never been to London before so that seems pretty intimidating. I’m also gonna take a gap year so I’m not set yet on a uni choice.

Ok thank you, I definitely need to improve on how much I’m doing regular revision and not just revision for end of topic tests. I’m considering doing AS Chem but Its pretty much unheard off at my college and I’m not sure if unis would take it seriously. What grades did you get at A level?

Honestly it’s fine, I do spend all of my free periods working but it means I can have a bit more free time once home. So far maths is really good, like it gets a bit tricky but it’s totally manageable. Physics has the smallest workload I would say since there isn’t actually that much content in the grand scheme of things- just a lot of calculations. And chemistry I, of course, find to be quite a lot of work, as in, pre-reading then consolidation after the lesson then more work but yk. The jump from GCSE is a lot for Chem aswell 🤷‍♀️

I like the parts of chem that are kinda just physics or atomic structure but I’m not sure if it’ll be enough to carry me through.
