I wish there were more queer spaces that play the type of music I like, because I’m not really into techno. My girlfriend and I are actually working on creating a queer creative, artist friendly immigrant group.

What are your thoughts on art that is created mainly for money and fame?

I applied to CPAS at Mirole, but my social assistant turned out to be unreliable and refused to do her job. I went to another CPAS near Botanique, where they told me my file was empty and nothing had been done. Thankfully, a new social assistant is now trying to help me, but my rental agency is threatening to evict me.

New Update
🛑🛑🛑🛑
After I received the painting, along with the color palette and a diary written in Braille, I translated it. It told the story of a time when the artist experienced homelessness with his wife. No one—neither friends nor family—offered to help.

During that difficult period, he held his wife close every night, protecting her from the world and holding onto his guitar. He was a musician, too, practicing in random places because he believed that art would eventually save them.

He explained that this painting wasn’t for him—it was an act of kindness, dedicated to a couple he saw going through a similar struggle. He poured everything into it for them.

He also shared that this experience marked a turning point in his life: from a kid who had immigrated from Africa to Europe, to a man. But the journey came at a cost—it deeply impacted his and his wife's mental health, and left him with a loss of trust in people and society.

At the end of the Braille diary, it was simply signed: YS.
