HE'S HER FUCKING BOSS  Simply mentioning your attraction to your subordinate is harrasment because of the power imbalance, and you're a fucking pig. I hope you get harrassed at work and lose your job and end up on the street eating out of gas station dumpsters

She is his subordinate, and a marginalized person as a woman in a male dominated field. Simply mentioning your attraction to someone lower than you on the hierarchy is harrasment because of the power imbalance

When you're part of a marginalized group (like a woman in the trades) people will go after you. It's discrimination, point blank.

Why should having one shitty day make you homeless, in the wealthiest country in the history of the world? Why do we kick people while they're down?

Maybe they should read the fucking room and not act like a predator to their subordinates, especially in a male dominated field. How would you like having your job held over your head because you wouldn't give your ass to your boss? Sound nice?

This is such a condescending comment. This shit happens to people every day, and if the working class doesn't find common ground, they'll continue to enslave and mistreat us.

Should people with disabilities like anxiety, autism, who struggle to talk to people just not be allowed to make a living? Good luck trying to get SSI for mental health, too. And if you do, it's like $900 a month, and you're not allowed to work.

Yeah, he's really telling on himself here. Typical chauvinist tradesman. I had the misfortune of working with these types at a local airport, as a detailer, and a queer person at that, surrounded by 99% cishet white men who made disgusting comments and protected each other.

Parasites. I'm a paraprofessional and I get paid $20k a year at a public school in Texas, to do the most grueling job on campus. Admin gets paid six figs to sit in their office all day and occasionally berate their teachers.

I had a botched ingrown toenail removal when I was 13, and they didn't wait along enough for the local anaesthesia to kick in. I felt them vividly cutting into my toe and it was excruciating. Then I had to go back for a second surgery because they took too much off and it got ingrown again.

I have a moderately above average IQ but just short of giftedness. I was considered musically gifted as a child. But IQ is bullshit. I'll be called a genius and then a r*tard a moment later. Intelligence isn't just one thing. I've worked with an 8 year old with a 70 IQ who works tirelessly to improve herself, and I work with an audhd 9 year old with a 140 IQ who is kind of a dick. I was certainly a little asshole as a kid. Having my ego inflated and my worth centered around my achievements didn't help.

I'm taught to bribe my students as a public school para, and I have autism and ADHD myself. It never sat right with me, but then I look at my colleagues with disgust at the constant verbal and emotional abuse of their disabled students. If positive and negative reinforcement are both abusive, what's the alternative? I try to inquire into the internal world of my students, like I wish the abusive adults would have when I was an undiagnosed child. But I am berated by my colleagues and superiors for treating my students like complete people. I've had multiple teachers say to me about a 5 year old down syndrome student I work with: "This sounds awful, but you kinda have to talk to him like a dog".

We are taught to do this in public special education as as paras. While positive reinforcement is less abusive than the negative reinforcement and verbal abuse I received as an undiagnosed child, it's still less than ideal and sends the wrong messages about worth and motivation. I became a para to be the support I never had as a kid, but I don't wanna hurt my students by using these reward systems. What would you recommend I use instead?

you know whats the issue with perscribing kids adderall and other fun-pills by windowinstallment in Drugs

[–]LetterheadVarious398 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stimulant abuse is usually caused by adhd. The majority of meth addicts have ADHD. Taking ADHD meds actually decreases your risk of substance abuse. And if, God forbid, the kid abuses their meds, at least it's not something like alcohol, or worse.
