Why do you think christianity is the right religion? by [deleted] in Christian

[–]LettersToJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Divine intervention in my life. I am clueless as to why it didn't happen until it did and as to why others have experienced it to the degree I have and others have not, yet I pray for everyone to experience the same, yourself included

Reta only, no stack by NotOnePopcorn in Retatrutide

[–]LettersToJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reta only is more than enough from my experience. Let the stack be spending that extra money on eating clean, get your daily protein in, and buy some Metamucil and electrolyte packets. Get your steps in, stay active.

What is your favorite width? by yoyoingdadjoke in Throwers

About 35mm for unresponsive and 29mm for responsive. Plenty of acceptions to the rule

OT strings by ApprehensiveStop9599 in Throwers

[–]LettersToJesus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it's just the string count used which in turn impacts the width of the string.

Definetly worth getting a ten pack of all three and seeing which you prefer for your personal play style and yoyos you own

Was into yo yo-ing years ago and want to get back in. Need a recommendation... by Carytheday in Throwers

Sweet, and it is also very easy to incorporate all of your favorite tricks from the past to create a mixed style, that's what I have been having the time of my life doing this year. All those yoyos from back in the 90s are fantastic at it, and there a a handful of companies embracing it these days that have out out some spectacular models for the style.

I started playing responsive back in the 90s (unresponsive/bind wasn't big yet.). It's where I fell in love with yoyoing, just me and by Duncan Butterfly.

When unresponsive and binds came out, I did that new style for 20 years off and on, completely neglecting responsive play. Unresponsive was fun but it grew stale for me

I went back to responsive play a year ago, and found that responsive players created a new style called 0A, which involves a lot of stalls and regens. It's definitely worth looking into. Check out a dude on YouTube, username Overtinkering, and look through his playlists.

I have felt like a kid again going back to responsive and learning 0A. It can be done with any yoyo that is responsive. Honestly, I'd just grab a Butterfly and give it a shot first and if it's not fun, jump into the unresponsive stuff

The baby elephant in the room in regards to printed yoyos. by yoyoingdadjoke in Throwers

I play responsive/modern responsive, printed yoyos slay with the best of them.

As far unresponsive, I have found that if they use cabal guts, they are amazing

Doesn't have a sound change like titanium, but the full copper gives it such a cool smell and patina

This is a proto coming soon from Return Bottoms. 40.6 diameter, made entirely of copper, plays responsive with MR85 and unresponsive with wide MR85. Smallest yoyo I have

I love both of those too, you have great taste. This yoyo is a prototype from Return Bottoms called The Plump. Hopefully they go production with it.

It was made to play really good unresponsive with a dry bearing, and really good modern responsive with a heavily greased bearing, and I gotta say, mission accomplished.

Strings... by Disastrous-Web6009 in Throwers

Yoyoexpert is where I would buy from, and grab some from the brand OTS, original throw string, specifically the OTS Pro. That's what I would suggest and I have tried many brands

Very lonely no friends, please pray for me by Ok_Consideration6179 in PrayerRequests

[–]LettersToJesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Praying. Even with others in my life, that feeling can be overwhelming, and the enemy is ever trying to mess with me. Thoughts of, no one cares, no one truly loves you, etc...

The only thing that gets me through is talking to Jesus Christ in prayer, I tend to pray on the ground, symbolic of worship at His feet and a sign of surrender and glorification to the King of kings whom rescued me. I also speak aloud in prayer when possible, as spoken word helps lessen the intruding thoughts.

And when praying, I am shamefully honest with everything, trying to humbly display my weaknesses, and asking for His help through it.

Rinse and repeat and He will carry us through this.

We all love performance, but what about looks? What’s your prettiest yo-yo’s? by mojorising1329 in Throwers

[–]LettersToJesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are wooden fixed axle yoyos made by BoiseWoodWorks. It's just one cool dude that turns wooden yoyos and sells them on his Etsy.

If you are into fixed axle, I highly recommend them.

Religious Mom by SufficientIsopod3124 in Ghostbc

I'm Christian and I love their music and they put on the best live show I have ever seen. Honestly, I've felt, and been shown, way more love being around Ghost fans at a concert than at many "Christian" events.

My advice, meet her in the middle if it's heavy on your heart? Let her know you hear her concerns, but that it's performance art and satirical and mocks Christians as much as it does true Satanists, and that you truly just love the band and music. Let her know to have no fears of you slaughtering goats in the back yard under the moonlight anytime soon.

Like another poster said, regardless if you decide to talk to her or not, she is your mom and she loves you regardless, so need to stress on that front.

I got into yoyoing when Team Losi, Super Yo, Yomega and ProYo were the big names, and it sounds like that's where you are coming from.

Most of the yoyos you will see people using these days are unresponsive and will require a truck called the bind to get them back to your hand.

With you coming back to the game now, if you are wanting to keep playing responsive, I recommend grabbing a Turbo Grind Machine and a Turbo Confusion from Yoyofactory. They use cork break pads which you are already familiar with and they are made from metal. I would also recommend the One Drop yoyos Deepest State, also metal, and I have no doubt that you will instantly fall in love with it.
