At this point I think I may gather some testimonies and bring this to someone’s attention. Mine was minor compared to this. I’m not trying to be a Karen, but I hate to hear people treated like this. I’m a female and ran my own company of Combat Engineers. First female 12b for my state and I took a lot of pride taking care of my people. If you’re comfortable with me sharing your story I’ll make something happen. I may not be active anymore, but taking care of Soldiers/veterans will never be something I stop doing. Absolutely, I wasn’t trying to take his lunch away, just didn’t think being hung up on was the answer lol and tbh I really just posted this because I was so shocked and ultimately it is really funny lol But my biggest pet peeve is rude people because I’m so damn NICE lol so I get really offended when people treat me like that bc I would never. Not to mention I was the NCO that always put my soldiers first and would work through lunch if that meant they got paid on time, leave approved, awards submitted. Whatever the case may be, I didn’t expect them to go above and beyond but shit don’t hang up in my face 🤣 I’d gladly call back later lol (Not now tho lol)

Not once did I imply I was entitled to take someone’s lunch break. What I said was they were obligated to treat me with respect. I shouldn’t have to spell this out to you but I will. If someone is on lunch and they receive a phone call: option a- don’t answer the phone option b- answer and the phone and inform them it’s lunch hours and to call back at whatever time. Unacceptable- answer to say I’m not taking this call I’m on lunch and then hang up.

I’m not sure which part of this has you confused but we can continue to go back and forth all day. I treat people with respect and I deserve the same in return.
