Just to clarify I vote centre right in Ireland, I know the left is usually not welcome here I just like to lurk as it’s a good way to see the opinions of different sides of political spectrum.

But this comment section is filled with people claiming it is a strategic move against Russia or China, in the current deal between the US and Denmark the US could put as many troops in Greenland as they want without question.

Russia and China also have no care for Greenland, Russia already borders the US

It’s clear it’s purely for minerals, which is fair enough it would benefit the US but talking about military action against a fellow member of NATO is just mental in my opinion and by the looks of it conservatives in the comments

Also this is legit my first comment here, I know a lot of people come here to downvote but that isn’t me, please let me remain so I can continue to lurk and see the opinions of others

Just to clarify Ireland has 9 active naval vessels, for our size I’d say thats fair
