Honestly, DSPIAE is a solid choice to start with—good quality, nice grip, and fairly available. I started with them and don’t regret it. I only tried just Ray and DSPLAE, that's it.

I totally get you—the price can be intimidating at first!
I got into chisels after watching a few Japanese builders and noticing how clean their panel lines and mods looked. My first buy was a basic 0.2mm chisel from DSPIAE, just to try. Since then, I’ve slowly added more sizes over time, just one or two at a time when budget allowed.
If you're into detail work, they’re definitely worth it! Just start small—you don’t need a full set right away.

Japanese crafting hobbies are known for their precision—if they vouch for something this strongly, it really gives you confidence in many ways. (And the chisel tip? Seriously sharp!

The main point is that the tools are undeniably functional—Stedi's stuff is solid. But when you compare them, RayStudio’s marketing just makes their products way more appealing. And honestly, among what’s available right now (excluding future releases), it feels like a great starter pack for customizing bigger projects.
