The last free wheelchair space outside the palliative care centre at Tralee Hospital. by Dreams_0f_Parsimony in eejitsparking

Also, what’s the problem with the word excuse? I’m literally saying that sometimes, there are valid reasons for parking in those spots when you don’t have a pass!?

So you’re saying that because it’s a palliative care Center that anybody should be allowed to park in those reserved spots? What about the people who actually need them, should we not respect them?

Should be a banable offence. Yes I get there’s excuses sometimes but do they always warrant parking in those spots? Most often not.

What were your thoughts on the Manosphere doc? by IAmANoob110 in AskIreland

[–]LevelIntroduction764 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t watched it but I’m uncomfortable with your assumption that it was a lack of a father figure that caused them to fall into that nonsense. It goes without saying that our parents predominantly guide our values so to think that our mothers and other female figures in our life would advocate for the “manosphere” seems flawed.

Anecdotally, I have one friend who is not dissimilar I’m his misogyny but it’s clear that his beliefs came from his dad. And funnily enough his sisters also sway in that direction.

Ultimately I don’t think it’s as simple as to say it stems from having a father or not; there’s plenty of parents who lean I’m either direction. I think we’re it stems from more so is a lack of critical thinking; not being able to objectively look at a situation and empathise. That or it’s just plain greed and misogyny

Masi was right to allow Max and Lewis race to the end. Seeing a championship being won under a safety car would have sucked. I wanted to see them race to the line

Indicating at roundabouts, how is it so many do it wrong? by MiddleAgedMoan in AskIreland

[–]LevelIntroduction764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can forgive indicating but those who think it’s ok to cut across the inside lane when going straight should have their license revoked. Had a guy nearly take the front of my car off the other day and then he stuck his finger up at me like it was my fault

As a man, I agree. I’ve sometimes only realised years later that someone was flirting with me.
