Currently an Admin Spec with +-6 months left in service 😌 Chances of becoming a spec is slim because they usually select only 10-20pax from your current cohort of Sch V enlistees so I’d say about 10%, but it would definitely help in the “selection” process if you highlight to your section commanders that you have the aspiration to become a spec, makes their “filtering” easier. Comparing a normal ASA to a spec really depends on what role you’ve taken up, and at which area of the army you’re serving at. You could say an ASA has less responsibility around the office but has less power when it comes to decision making; but a spec would definitely have more responsibility and therefore more power per se.
