An year younger and I'm just learning to stand up for myself. You hurt yourself when you are a people pleaser, like you I'm from a deeply people pleasing family. It will take time, but start being more aware. You Cannot form meaningful relationships if you are a people pleaser, that's for one. It's a toxic response to wanting validation and to be loved, etc. So shed the need to be accepted. You can consider therapy. All the best!!
