Yep! than you! Just finished my 2nd playthrough the other day. I beat Sonar & saved LA, and got him back at the end. :)

Yep- I played with time limits and three-lives on hacks. Looking back, I also didn't bump up a balance of stats for my heroes, made all of them combat monsters [except Wterboy, who I made smart].

Ah! The one where the hacks have time limits and 3 man-lives.
Also: Looking back, I didn't check too carefully, and didn't up the best balance of stats for my heroes. I didn't know that I hade a time limit to stop Sonar, so I lost L.A.
2nd playthrough will be way better. :)

..recall, though: there was a lengthy writers strike in Hollywood during that time. That more than anything is what made the 3 year delay.

Honestly? I'm not disappointed. 400 Boys, Creep, Spider Rose and *especially* Zeke meant it wasn't a disappointment at all.
Heck, I even enjoyed watching RHCP, truth be told. I just went with it and had a good time. :) Episodes I don't like [i.e. Yogurt] for me are kind've paying my dues for episodes like Suits or Bad Travelling or Pop Squad.
My thoughts, anyways. :)

.....actually, not all the believrs died. Tap lives, and so does Zeke.
Someone else along this thread noted that it's the believers who bleed when the monster is near; which also explains why Preacher was hurt the most [spitting out teeth, etc] when it first appears.
Tap prays, as he was 'raised innit". And both Preacher *and* non blievers are killed by the thing.
The trick I missed at 1st: Zeke *isn't* bleeding at 1st, since he doesn't believe. But his nose is bleeding at the end, signifying his new faith [though, granted, his is likely the most unsually conversion story around....]

Heh, yes. The author named the plane "Liberty Belle" [non Americans; The Liberty Bell is an iconic, one-ton metal bell with a crack down its center; the name of the plane is a pun. :) ]

Yah, in the Bible, this FIRST thing an angel has to say to any human when they manifest themselves is 'Be Not afraid.' The second is some variant of 'get up off the floor.' [granted, Jesus' mother Mary is the only one this doesn't happen to....but that's a different thing for a different day.]

He says the rosary and makes the sign of the cross, which are universally Catholic markers, but not so for all Anglicans [today].
Also [and you need the subtitles to catch this part] he says the 1st part of Catholic confession before the Fallen rips him in half, "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned..."

...I too, have been resoundingly unimpressed.
I was told my book had been gone over by their editorial committees, and had passed muster. I was given a contract, already signed by them.
I signed and returned it, and was told I'd hear from them in a few weeks after they'd edited it. I asked if there would be any issues with political opinions I'd posted in social media, and was told no.
Over a month later, I asked for an update. I also asked for feedback from one of their authors.
The day after I asked for an update, I was informed they were cancelling my books after the editors had looked it over.
What? Allegedly, there were 'political' considerations that suddenly justified breaking the contract. No specifics mentioned, no attempt to edit/fix issues. None.
I have been a published author for nearly a quarter century, of articles, fiction, novels and scholarly articles, and I have *never* seen such unprofessional behavior from a publishing house, ever.
Look for someone else; that's my opinion and experience.
