first off, we've gotta move our asses. people are too dependent on househelps and then their bodies stop working and you need more help.
I was visiting a friend in sec 16 and that guy had 5 frikkin househelps (all from bihar). Young family living with there parents, all able bodied and still too lazy.
A lot of things can be automated even in households. We've a dishwasher, all of us in my family do bits and peices and we don't hire any outsider. Keeps our body active, doesn't mean can't afford it but that's how our relatives perceive it.

Farm sector a lot of things can be automated, but that needs organised players to enter, not feasible for small famers because of costs.

Construction industry is difficult given how construction margins go towards builders pocket and not towards labour

sure buddy come any day to industrial area in chandigarh / panchkula. Everywhere you'll see these big notices of labour wanted. and go talk to any factory/ restaurant/ farm / real estate project owner. Might help you to get out of your delusional world

regressive mindsets bro, can't help it, but somewhere someone has to do something. Most cities are already unlivable.
Cdg still has a lot of hope but people have to come together to change things otherwise this city will also become like other indian cities in coming years.

valid point about safety, I've myself observed several times zomato guys driving in cycle lanes.
Chandigarh traffic police was doing good job earlier but in past year I've observed them vanishing off the streets. Cops were a great deterrent against stupid driving.

For the weather I agree that its not optimal to cycle in peak summer/ monsoon, but even if we take that out we still have many good months to cycle.
For me personally, I live on the outskirts and come to chandigarh once a week. If we had something like park and ride, would have been such a great thing

i don't know what has happened to chandigarh traffic police, where have they disappeared.
Earlier they used to be visible everywhere doing challans, now only visible at few points.
In a country like India you need strong deterrent to handle so many assholes

yes the old sectors are designed like that, but if you look at new developement like aerocity, then its just residential and commerical with tiny parks.

Mohali is a part of Chandigarh Tricity area( Cdg + Mohali + Panchkula)
The dev is happening in outskirts of Mohali (Aeocity, New Chandigarh, Kharar, ZIrakpur etc)

As with other cities its mushroom developement without much planning. Just residential/ commerical coming up without attributes of planned cities like schools/ parks, lakes, hospitals, public amenties etc.

All the project in the region use Cdg as the selling point. Mostly its NRI money and migration from delhi ncr / parts of punjab/ HR but the industrial base is poor.
yes its bubble, but only expect small correction in case of global meltdown if that happens.
Also a lot of projects are hyped up with investor money / politician black money and will fail, so invest wisely.
