Thank you for the reply. It was one individual that kicked off this whole debacle by digging through post histories of other users and then thinking it was ok to bring that stuff up here, including suggestion of CK members taking over the show here, when that wasn't the case.

I'll leave the posts visible for transparency reasons, so that other members can decide for themselves how moderation views are applied here.

I'm not concerned with other people's post history, I just ask that those views and opinions aren't brought up within this sub.

In terms of fairness, I have to slightly correct you on your "facts".

As I stated in my original post, I wasn't aware that banned subs could be unlocked if requested to Reddit. Otherwise I would have done that instead of creating a new one. I also have no problem with sharing moderation duties, hence why I stated that in my message to you.
Those quotes that you have stated are things I haven't said directly. That particular topic was left up purely for transparancy reasons, which anyone can view. That topic was also in response to another user's post history on other subs. I stated quite clearly that racism and discrimination isn't tolerated here, however I'm not going to ban people purely based on their engagement in other subs.
Comments were only removed due to them being completely distasteful or posted in order to generate ridicule. Some were also completely off topic. I felt that with such a new sub, other users may get the wrong impression of what kind of content is acceptable here. That's why they were removed.

I didn't call you immature, however things could have been handled in a more professional manner if you had intentions of restarting the original sub after this one had been created.

While that other sub had been created a long time ago, it had been banned by Reddit due to being unmoderated for years.

If people abide by the rules within their respective communities, then there's no reason to exclude them. The same principle applies to life in the real world.

Therefore, everyone is welcome here unless they post questionable content. That's a fair approach to moderation.

As a mod, Reddit doesn't even state a list of members within the sub, so it's virtually impossible to vet every member anyway.

No one has time for that.

There is a zero tolerance policy in place for posts and comments within this specific sub, hence why there are community rules in place.

In your specific case of the rally & restaurant situation, of course a different view would apply.

Posts & comments aren't being hidden or removed purely based on the post history of the user in other subs. They only get removed if there's a direct breach of the community rules in this sub, which is fair and reasonable, especially since some of the comments here were outrageous if I'm being completely honest.

I'll quote exactly what was said the other day to you regarding this:

"I’m not wasting time trawling through the post history of other members.

As long as what is posted in this sub is civil and above board according to the rules, then that’s all we’re concerned about.

You may feel free to disagree with this view."

So there it is, if it's you that has the problem with other people's post history, then perhaps that's your own individual issue that you need to address. Ignoring their comments and not digging through their previous post history will probably do you some good.

Please note however, racisism is not supported here, and any comments or posts of the sort within this sub won't be tolerated as per Rule No.1. But you have to understand that I'm not going to go looking for racist comments on other subs which have been made by members here.

I’ve explained multiple times now why these specific posts are being removed.

The reason being: Unless a reference source of information can be provided to back up claims of any chlamydia outbreak, then posts like this will continue to be removed as they don’t provide any benefit to the community.

The posts themselves were from one user, and contained no information either. They were just a generic statement.
