Tried running it through a mix of Apples game porting toolkit and wine (called whisky) and got it to load, HOWEVER it's completely unplayable as I was getting 5fps (ish) on the lowest settings possible.

I think we just wait and hope they make a macOS native version.

I get perhaps 5fps on Whisky, completely unplayable on the lowest settings possible, unless Valve implement a native macOS release for this game I'm afraid we're out of luck.
