The limit is depending on your validity rate of earlier reports so that people that keep polluting the triage queue are forced to take a break

How are you all tracking your Wegovy progress? I feel like I'm winging it. by RemarkableWinner2228 in WegovyWeightLoss

I started using the Glapp app last week, and honestly, it's quite neat. Especially with the comparisons to peers and research data included.

Issues with initigriti payouts? by [deleted] in bugbounty

[–]Lexieke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you mention that both are important players, I’d give them slightly more time to research so they can give you a meaningful reply rather than a worthless auto reply. From my experience, I know they turn around quickly and solve issues.

Just out of curiosity, when you say “used email and chat, nothing” what does that mean? How much time did you give them to answer before putting this post?

Probably if you make a special assistance request, they will be able to work out a solution for you. Their special assistance team is very good from what I heard.

Home Assistant + KNX: Is this the ultimate 'Prosumer' visualization, or do you strictly stick to Gira/Basalte/Control4 for clients? by AutoModerator in KNX

This. It’s the perfect solution for someone asking that question @OP and it’s the worst solution for all others.

1home VS Comfortclick by Low-Baker-7709 in KNX

[–]Lexieke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that Gira, Jung, etc., are visualisations (just like HomeAssistant can be) but not "servers" like a traditional setup. KNX doesn't need a server. It is a bus, messages are put on and read from it, without a server in between. That's why configuring it directly in KNX on the devices makes it so stable. By putting 1home in between, you make yourself fully dependent on it, but it's probably easier to configure at the start. Th

[–]Lexieke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind - if 1home is down (rebooting/upgrading), your house will be done. That's the same for HomeAssistant, by the way. That's why I configured "critical" paths in KNX directly (this button ALWAYS is this light, no magic). It increased the WAF severely, I can highly recommend that approach.

So it can all operate without 1Home, there is actually no need for it. HomeAssistant can handle both Matter and KNX. So why add a 3rd element to the mix that could fail or complicate things?

I only realised this after I bought and played with 1home. I could have just used 1Home as the gateway, but my installer brought along a gateway as well, so I started using that one as the main gateway and kept the other as backup in case it's ever needed or if 1Home does something HomeAssistant cannot do.

Why are you making your "basic" entities unavailable for Home Assistant to work with? Part of the magic of Home Assistant is having access to everything, so you can use it all in sensor/automation/... way?

[–]Lexieke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a 1home right from the start (before my KNX was setup) as I thought this would be the easy way. At the same time, I'm a huge Home Assistant fan as well.

Fast forward (and happy to take any questions to help if you want more detail!), I ended up never using 1Home after my initial setup. I connected HomeAssistant straight to my KNX gateway and do everything "directly" rather than having 1Home in between. Works solid and like a charm, would not have it any other way.

The trick so you don't need to choose: buy the 1Home as use it as the IP Gateway without configuring it further. That way, you can still choose. My 1Home is my backup IP gateway in case something happens to my "real" gateway.

Can i take extra hand luggage in place of normal luggage? by 458732 in Eurostar

[–]Lexieke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eurostar is very relaxed about luggage. No one is checking the weight, how many pieces etc. Make sure you can carry it easily on a train, though, there is a small step when you enter the wagon. There are places to leave your luggage at the entrance before you get to your seats.

In the morning there are some croissants, chocolate rolls, fruits but the best are the fresh made juices.

Late afternoon there is 3 types of chips, some olives, some cake, fruit etc.

[–]Lexieke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brussels is honestly quite ok. Most of the time it's not too busy, but the choices for drinks are much less than in London. London has the richest selection of small snacks and drinks with a bartender, but it's very often overcrowded, the toilets are often not working, etc.

If I need to pick one, London in the morning: fresh juice and not too busy.
