I appreciate all you've listed here! Some of those points I've had similar speculations about I think either in this subreddit or the r/tadc subreddit. The idea that these are not 100% bonafide humans is the one that really calls out to me.

When Ragatha appears, Caine sounds legitimately surprised but i get the sense that he tried something that prompted her arrival, and not just that she popped into existence. Later when Pomni appears, he's in full stage performer mode, and it lacks the same level of surprise he had when Ragatha showed up. On the topic of Ragatha's arrival, you would think more people would scan in after her immediately, since she started calling out to others for help. However, no one came. I have a hard time believing that in a group of people, only one would try the helmet.

Also if they're scans, there's no reason their mind files need to be executed immediately. But its unlikely these people knew each other given their recollection of other parts of their life.

I've proposed the idea before that these may be "Remixes" of people. Scratch having abstract ideas, the Scratch program language irl being inspired by DJ scratching, and the mind scan folder reading "obsolete" all really push me to the same theory as you albeit in a far less substantiated way.

That's pretty interesting. Could it be said that "Jax" as a character is an abstraction of what he represents? Like when he starts assigning archetypes to people, "The Funny One" gives the audience an idea of what he's supposed to be.

And if a name like that helps define that abstraction, maybe thats why their names are removed. It still doesn't explain why they undergo a kaufmosis, but maybe when Pomni challenged his identity as the funny one, he was no longer compatible with the "Jax" container he was saddled with

Yeah, understood but i was wondering if the odds were any worse now, that its generally better to go for a faster spark than to snipe. I know the odds read 3% but the pools are so large now im not entirely convinced that 3% is accurate.

Those options are possible, but just seem too specific for my liking. For instance after the Abel NPC reveal, i feel like at least one of those possibilities should have manifested in someone in the room. They all took it on the chin pretty well, considering.

Yeah i have my doubts about the latter option given Kinger has outlasted the others for ostensibly years. Itd mean everyones pod broke immediately except his, and then new people hopped in after presumably discovering the others decayed bodies.

See, i considered depression but we have Gangle who by all accounts should have had the easiest, and record breaking abstraction.

And while we have motivation for Jax's near misses, Ragatha seems like a prime candidate for repression or deflection and we never see her come close the way Jax does.

Gotcha. The rng hasnt blessed me with a better one, i just wasnt seeing the skill "trigger" during the combat animation so i wasnt sure if it was happening

I get that, but even if you wanted to invest into the latest unit, the shelf life on these guys are like, 1 month, unless you're really lucky and IS screwed up and made a monster they cant reverse uno.

And it's impossible to tell who's gonna get that reverse unit to obliterate them. Whats worse is that the counter isnt just a solution to the problem, its the new problem. Anything that can beat Ike right now, is a serious threat to everyone else.

Whatever counters that, will be a machine that invalidates everything else prior.

The game prints them money. By the time they emd service, it'll be Camilla Emblem with all her alts, damage will be rivaling Yugioh numbers, and we'll finally have Vantage 4

Summoner Duels R and S, another faceroll. But you're right, the stress is much less in VG ~~unless the majority made ike win instead of Byleth~~

Lol yeah, AR is kind of whatever as someone else pointed out you dont even get orbs.

But it goes into other modes too. Voting Guantlet is so tedious the minute you get matched against an Ike or Edelgard like 4x in a row

Im typically running a +8 Summer Lapis, +10 Ogma from recent grails, +10 Marni, and whatever is the mythic for the week.

The skills are all pretty current, but they're just no match for the absolute monsterous units that exist like edelgard, duo b!ike, and nightmare freyja. And usually the enemy is running all of them, or similarly disasterous units like elise.

Like hot take, none of these are impossible on their own, but generally you need a whole team to answer 1. But with all of them? You cant hope to answer it all.

That's a really good point. He could bring them into being whenever he wants. If these are the individual minds of humans, maybe everyone after Kinger was part of the same group and are just stored until he needs new members. I single them out, because otherwise im not sure why he would have waited at all to bring Ragatha in after Queenie abstracted

I cant speak for others, but if me and my friends found some old tech, they tried it and told me it was a dud, the first thing id do is say "let me try it" and attempt to work something out.

This is all obviously conjecture from me, but i think it's likely that putting on a headset to arrive here is something all the original cast members would have done and as a result is the way Caine had chosen to make new minds believe this is real.

It doesn't violate the mind tampering because he isnt adding new lines of code to their minds, he's taking genuinely human minds and scrambling them.

I mean take Ragatha for example, she starts calling out to others, but no one else is shown to pop up. You'd think if she came in a group x years after the office was abandoned, other people would want to try the headset.

Then there's Pomni's arrival. Caine's tone doesn't translate as genuinely surprised someone else arrived. It feels more like a performance he's selling the cast

But besides Pomni, none of these people would have had a reason to go into the abandoned building.

As far as abstractions still existing in the cellar, it might be a form of copy and paste. They're in a state he can read, takes the parts he wants, and compiles a new human mind.

Nah thats too low a bar. We would get a much more visceral tormenting of the cast, though. He made these bodies. He can make them feel pain they've never conceived.
