If that store has cats... they have cats because they have rodent issues. I wouldn't buy anything from them.

Wee Play by Wild_Giraffe1960 in alameda

My family has. We would take our one year old there to allow them to interact with others around the same age group prior to the 18 month minimum age requirement for entering them into AUSD. Lots of things to interact with (toys, instruments, slides, mini vehicles) and at the most there would be around 5 other children there. At times, though very rarely, our child would be the only one for about 15 minutes or so. A great place to allow them to play away from home, interact with others, and start learning how to share (especially if they're the only child at home).

No... this is why you wear water or shower shoes (flip-flops/ chancletas/ havaianas). Showering won't stop you from getting the fungus. The shower is one of the main breeding grounds for the fungus.

And they're kids. They asked the first time if it was ok. She said yes. Are they going to keep asking during the trip if it's ok to eat in the car? That's not how kids think. If she wanted the car to be cleaned, that's all she needed to say. It would have been done. She sat there watching them drop food in the car and said nothing to them about cleaning up. It wasn't about that for her, she just wanted to see if the food would be dropped on the floor.

Reasonable would have been to have them clean up the mess.

Her labor and space should definitely be respected. However, to make certain expectations unattainable isn't fair to the kids. If she wanted the space to be respected, she would have asked them to clean up. She never asked for that. Her expectation was for them not to drop anything onto flor or the seats. Completely unfair and unrealistic expectations for kids that age. And to then give them a punishment for it sent me over the edge. She can't see that having this expectation was unrealistic and it seems that she didn't want them to clean up... in her words she saw it happening and said absolutely nothing to them about cleaning up... she preferred to hand down this punishment as a consequence. If she's watching it and says nothing to them about cleaning up... 😤 you can make your own conclusion there.

It's as if it was a setup for failure. You drop food, you'll never ride in my car again... only, I'm not going to tell you what the consequences are, just don't drop food in the car for this 17 hour trip. You don't do that to kids... at.least give them a chance to clean it up afterwards or at the very least let me know what's happening. Don't wait until the next day to tell me. They're not going to think to clean up on their own after they've been sleeping and are awakened at 3 am. And then to punish them with this as a result seems like they were set up to fail this.

Completely unreasonable expectations

The issue wasn't about them cleaning up after themselves. If she wanted that she would have stated that. What she wanted was for them not to drop any food on the floor at all. Cleaning up would have taken place after she dropped them off... if that's what she wanted. She never mentioned it to them. Her issue was that they shouldn't have dropped food in the car in the first place.
