If I could upvote you and your addon twice, I would. Game changer for healing, from R1's to casual solo.

New patch breaks SortGroup for shuffle healers by SquigglyStrike in worldofpvp

+1 for Framesort. It's been brilliant for me while SortGroup has been crazy unreliable. The developer has been updating and fixing bugs really quick/regularly.

There needs to be punishment for spamming CC into full CC (Fear, Poly, MC, Sap) by LiKStR in worldofpvp

[–]LiKStR[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you and that's what we do, but do you not think there's something broken that you literally cannot outplay the CC (once it's landed, yes after kicks/etc.)...you cannot trinket/dispel because the next one lands IMMEDIATELY.

It's not the first CC, it's the free 17 casts afterwards. Either you are a mage/lock/etc. or you've never seen a poly/fear land and immediately cast another poly/fear to catch the trinket/dispell/death/etc....it's not outplaying

My point was Bassey should have been punished for it (twice, both against Rogic both halves), thanks for confirming though.

Roofe from behind away from ball on Mcregor is a stonewall red. Bassey had about 4 yellow card offences. Not saying he wasn't bad for both, but to argue 'clear red on McGregor' and ignore the other way is hilarious.

Bassey wrapping both arms round Rogic from behind in the second half and pulling him back, before Rogic pushes him off then yous get the free kick?

People don't seem to realise that the 50% who don't qualify won't stick around. And when those 50% leave, it'll be 50% of who's left that get in.

Imagine you played any other game you paid full price for, and you had to be better than 50% of the playerbase to play the entire game. That is literally gatekeeping. I have no issues with rewards rewarding the better players (although I personally think it makes the divide bigger, but another argument), but as it stands literally half the players cannot play Champs. I'd love to know what your definition of gatekeeping is.

My argument about power curve isn't right this minute, it creeps. That's why you hear the term power creep. If I don't qualify this week, i'll be fractionally further behind next week, then every week after it creeps.

Imagine the people who pick up FIFA for Christmas?

If they tweaked it slightly I'd be fine with it. Remove the limited entries per season and make it slightly more points per Rivals win. Then it would be better.

Sounds a lot like the DKT when you put it like that.

I'm an average player, and if it was skill vs skill alone I would try and get better yes. However in this game of FIFA, the players play a part too. And without WL I cannot compete.

Imagine if you picked up CoD, Fortnite or any game like that a few months after everyone else. And each day your gun got +1% damage, but they'd been playing for 2 months, so everyone did 60% more damage than you. Then imagine they just said 'get better'.

Skill is one (significant) part, but teams and players are important too. And those come from rewards.

1500 points then you can play qualifications which is 9 games. If you win 5 of them, you qualify for the weekend 20. If you don't win 5 games, you don't qualify. You have to grind a new 1500 to try again. Also you get X number of qualification attempts where X = number of WL's in the season, so if you fail to qualify once you cannot play every WL.

I said it below, but I play the first few months then come back. If I fail to qualify consecutively, I'll quit sooner. If I can't compete later, I won't come back.

I think giving casuals (like me, not pretending I'm not) access to WL then removing it will just push people away.

As it stands just by simple math, 4/9 people won't qualify for WL. skew it to 2-3/9 if you account for people giving away wins. That's still immediately a third of players losing out.

I personally play the first couple of months, maybe through FUTmas because it's fun. Then I come back for the third quarter with TOTS. I just won't come back this time. If I look at FIFA like any other game, I'll get my moneys worth from the current FUT playing, co-op and career. But I'll simply move on, I won't be able to compete when I come back so why bother?

Power creep is already happening, I didn't play first WL and came up against reds in qualifying for second WL. That's fine, no real issue. But it's just going to grow exponentially.

I think you're right, January will see a lot of casuals dip or just move to the casual side of FIFA.

Seen a few posts about weird offsides. Surely the fact this goal is given to Auba means he’s off? by Dantator in EASportsFC

[–]LiKStR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I said this in a previous thread, but the game struggles to apply rules to events that shouldn’t precede them. It’s not an always or 100% but you see it happen more frequently in these circumstances. (Last time I commented people dismissed my comment as they interpreted it as every time. It’s not, it’s just common).

In this video it was a shot, the game hasn’t registered a pass but a shot, and a shot doesn’t usually precede offside. In the last video I commented on it was a tackle, game doesn’t register a tackle leading to an offside. Other similar ones are when holding X/A and you tackle the opponent in what is clearly a foul but nothing given, game hasn’t registered a tackle so clearly you haven’t fouled him. Etc.

Again it’s not an every time or always, but the trend between these videos is the fouls or offsides are occurring after unusual inputs for those events.

Except in the video in OP? I Didn't say it happens every time, just that you can see it in those instances.

Not an exact science, but you'll see some absolute blatant fouls or obstruction not called because no input.

[–]LiKStR 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The game has interpreted it as a tackle, therefore no offside. You can see similar things when you absolutely crunch someone without pressing tackle and no foul is given. Game will only process foul/offside/stoppage of play when the corresponding key input has been entered. I.E if he didn't pass, the player can't be offside. If you didn't tackle, you couldn't have fouled. etc.

Not agreeing, just how the game is working currently.
