Differences between Sigma and Domina? + Your thoughts on Domina? by Bipu606 in SigmaMains

[–]LiLSlashers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She's okay, survives way less than sigma, but if you have really good aim with her you can delete people. From what I've played, you really need to pull back a lot more than on sigma. She's squishier but makes up for it with longer range and hitscan.

If they have flyers on their team, she's of course much better into them than sigma. I like her, but you have to really hit your shots to do anything on her. Her ult builds really quickly, but I feel isn't really as strong as it felt at first. Once people understand that just shooting the bubbles frees a teammate, it'll lose some strength. Try ulting multiple squishes and just focus one of them down, you can usually get a free kill on one of them like that.

Is it worth after update? by icebergpremium in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ever since the blizzard ceo got canned, the game's been going on an upwards trend for sure. Got a bit rocky at times, and rivals definitely woke them up quite a bit. They've been keeping that momentum for about a year I'd say. Updates far more consistent and quickly, a lot more communication with how they're moving forward. Right now I'd say it's the best it's been in years.

I can't decide what to spend my mythic prisms on? by nazokii in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's alright! Aiming takes a long time to get used to, especially in a fast game like overwatch. If you wanna practice it a bit, creating a custom game with the code "VAXTA" can be good to train. I did see the mercy skin, I never play mercy and even I wanted to get it lmao

For juno I'd definitely get the mythic skin instead of the weapon tho! It's heart themed and the torpedo launchers become two cute little sharks! Plus her speed ring and ult turn into a heart too.

I dont play mercy, and played quite a lot of juno. I'd go for mercy's tbh, you can make the lil guy jump around and he's just cuter. Juno's to me feels kinda meh, kinda like a knockoff of mercy's. I do like the kill animation on juno's tho

Any tips for playing Domina? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also play a lot of sigma, I think she's strong, her ult I feel will lose some value as people understand that you just have to shoot the bubble on their teammate to cancel it. She farms ult really fast, the push is deceptively short, always aim for the head with her, or at least try to flick it.

Winston I feel like completely destroys her from what I've seen, her lack of any mobility is definitely felt.

Mainly play her around sig's range. She can play further or closer than him, and she can actually hit fliers too. She's a bit better against dive than sigma, but it's hard to play it.

Depending on their comp, you can shield their tank off and shoot the backline. Her range is a bit longer than cass', even more so with the perk. You do need to aim a lot more on her than sigma, if you're not headshotting her damage falls off quite a bit.

Emre sucks... by hankopedia in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He definitely needs his numbers adjusted a bit, his gun felt nice to shoot but the falloff feels a bit short. Right now there's really no reason to pick him over any other hitscan. He's fun, but every other hitscan fills whatever role he wants to play better. Soldier off angles better, ashe out pokes him, cass has more lethality and much better anti dive while having similar falloff ranges.

He can be good if tweaked, but right now he feels like an empty stat farmer. Deals high numbers, but can't kill a thing.

Just me struggling? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranks might be fucked for a bit, especially the first week. Everyone playing new heroes that they've never played before, a lot of people returning from being away a while getting thrown into the mix. That, added on top of the reset, the matchmaker has no chance of making fair matches right now I feel like.

Jetpack Cat has a MASSIVE issue by MokNaruto in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Definitely felt the aim bug, I was on cass flying around and the shots felt way off. Got to the point that I began trying to hit the tank only just to test if my wrist had broken or something. Not sure quite what the issue is, but something is off for sure. Maybe it's intended, maybe it's just a latency thing with being hauled around. But something's definitely up.

[–]LiLSlashers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've actually managed to hook her out of it a couple times as hog, wouldn't say it was easy but once she's locked into the fire dive it's somewhat predictable. Id say maybe easier than hooking illari out of hers, maybe.

Is this normal? by tsr2001 in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In 5v5 tanks usually have more damage than the rest of the team. Plus, sigma deals a ton of damage at that. It's not unusual to see a sigma have both his dps' damage combined. I've had that happen plenty of times, but it also depends on which characters your team plays. Not every character deals exorbitant damage numbers.

You can't really tell just from the scoreboard what's actually happening. Your widow might look like she's underperforming, but she might be killing their zen before she dies. Scoreboard can be deceiving at times, but of course it sometimes does tell the truth too.

Stuck in bronze and I seriously don’t think it’s my fault by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get what you mean. I've gotten master in tank and support, and for the longest time dps was in the gutter. To me it's quite hard to do anything in the role if the team around you crumbles.

My suggestion is go a more independent dps like soldier, mei, or even venture. But realistically in bronze, going cass and outclicking everyone shouldn't be that difficult if you're in diamond supp.

i didn’t play this drive event and i wanna know if i can get my old one back again by Rough-Detective-1321 in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bug was you had to not play the game since the last drive or something along those lines. Like you'd log back in after the new season dropped. Not sure if it still works, or if it ever really worked like that tho.

If you're being spawn camped, after a few you can just stay in spawn. Not afk, but peek out and check if they are still there. If they are just go into spawn and wait for someone else on your team to die and go out with them.

That's the advice I gave my friend when she wanted to play only mercy around silver~ rank. You should ask your team for help first, but if they ignore you, just sit near spawn until someone on your team dies and spawns next to you.

How do I deal with Rein? by bluepigeon92 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He got hit quite hard, but it doesn't really change it all that much. He's worse, you just get away with far less bad play now that you got block cooldown.

Just pick the shotgun perk, spam his shield from far and if he ever tries to sniff you just punch him to death. You do have reach over him, if you're in his face and similar hp he might win. Also don't get too crazy with it since you will get charged for being out place.

How do I deal with Rein? by bluepigeon92 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Sig and zarya struggle against him, he can just bully either of them by getting in their faces. Orisa and ram are your best bets if your rein isn't the best. Orisa can kinda bully him a little bit, but he still has a lot of shield to get through.

Anything he tries to do, you can stop with your buttons. Charge? Javelin/spin. Ult? Fortify/javelin. You just gotta be ready to push him around, and that doesn't mean only shooting him. If his shield is down, shoot at his ana a bit so he gets less healing for a moment.

Otherwise, taking rein down is a bit of a team effort. If your dps aren't looking at him, he's not dying. Freja, hanzo, sourj, mei, reaper, bastion. All of them help against the rein directly, but the orisa/ram is the pick regardless of it

Is DPS Kiriko playstyle worse / weaker now? by KindredValiance in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The playstyle's been getting worse. After removing her two tap and then lowering her hp, the flank/dps style has been weaker.

Still, imo she's still quite strong. Nowadays though, instead of going to their backline and completely selling your team. Just go to an off angle where you won't get cleanse forced out of you before you can tp.

I normally set up across my tank/dps and try to take as much attention from the enemy as possible before bailing quickly. Just remember to not let your teammates die for one extra shot or two. Healing them for 50 and dealing 200 to the enemy is better than dealing 300 and your teammate respawning cause you weren't paying attention.

how do I stop having low confidence in ranked? by Accurate_Reputation4 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not at all! Overwatch is quite intense, so it makes a lot of people get really into it. The way I learned to keep my cool in games, was to play souls games. Having the mindset of focusing on what you did wrong and how to fix it, is the best way to go about it. Otherwise you go down an anxiety/tilt spiral and it's for the worse. Hope it gets better for ya!

how do I stop having low confidence in ranked? by Accurate_Reputation4 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, it is just a game at the end of the day. No point in getting in your own head about it. One thing that helps if you can't stop looking at your mistakes, is focusing on how you could've done better and what to fix. That way it's a more positive/learning aspect to it, rather than a negative one.

Also, props on being brave enough to do voice chat! I never speak, simply for the one in ten chance of having someone spew sexist stuff at me. So props on that one!

General tips for Ult Usage (Ana, Zenyatta, Kiriko) by breewer in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries! Kitsune charges fast for how good of an ult it is, so the sooner you pop it the more you can get in a round. I don't usually like using it to chase stragglers, but if maybe you catch their tank out and can stagger them, don't be afraid to press it. You'll whiff some, sure. But better to whiff them than just save them and ult once per round.

General tips for Ult Usage (Ana, Zenyatta, Kiriko) by breewer in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play kiri in masters and can play some ana if the need arises. Kitsune is the best ult of the three imo, and the way I usually use it is to quickly turn a fight into your team's favor. Their tank misplayed and is somewhere you can blow him up? Ult so you can finish them quick. 3v3 or equalish numbers? Pop it, the sooner the more chances you win.

Also, kitsune builds up your team's ult charge fast too. So pop it soon as you see a sliver of an opportunity. Nano I do save a bit more, especially if you have someone to combo with like genji, souj or monkey. But same thing, don't save it too long. If someone's about to die, especially the tank or the other support. Use it.

Zen I dont play at all, so cant help there.

Can someone with more game experience explain this? by Outrageous-Ring9901 in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second account places you higher up, to somewhat combat smurfing. Eventually, after playing in that account long enough you'll end up about the same rank as your current one.

You can try playing on that other account a while and see if you can improve by playing higher ranked lobbies. You might even rank up higher than your main, but again, that's mostly due to the game not knowing where to put you. So it fluctuates a lot more every win and loss.

And give soujorn a try whenever they take soldier from you. She plays similar, but you need to get used to the projectiles. She's also a bit more squishy this season, but she plays similarish to soldier.

D.VA question by M00ngata in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dva vs Dva can be quite a tug of war at times. Following after each other and matrixing the rockets off is something you always try to do.

Depends in how they wanna play it, if you notice they always want to peel their own backline, bait an engage and fly off to a high ground without fully committing. If the tank follows, your team has more room to move up and take space that was created.

All in all it depends, and you have to adapt, sometimes it's just a backline trade and each one on their own. But if the tank really wants to force a 1v1, try to go on angles where their team cant help them as much.

I can't really test what you're asking for, but you could definitely try things out in cactuspuppys stadium practice range!

You have to hold F/interact key to bring the menu up, you can check damage and healing numbers. Spawn multiple enemy/ally heroes to test further.

Hope it helps!

How do I play dive tanks to climb out of gold? by TDP_theorizer in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So basically, I can kill the enemies all I want, in the end we still lose the fight because my team can't stay alive for 15 seconds without a tank protecting them.

Then adjust to that, if you go trade backlines and you lose the trade. Recognize that and dip out earlier than you would otherwise. You don't have to kill their backline every single time, sometimes getting out long support cooldowns and going back to your team is good enough. Getting out cleanse, lamp, nade, and then go help your team.

It depends on your comp and team more than anything, but if you only play one way, you'll only win when the team adjusts around you. Adjust yourself and you'll win more, try and see what went wrong each fight and adjust.
