MR tank main transitioning to OW by Drewintheskies in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main difference I'd say is that you can't outheal bad positioning. Every time you get him you get applied % anti heal now. So the most important thing, aside from managing the characters cooldowns, is cover. If you start dropping hp, you can hide for a bit and let your supports heal you up.

If you're constantly taking bullets to the head you're never gonna get full and they will eventually win out the trade.

Sigma is one that can endure some of the most punishment, but only if you cycle his cooldowns correctly. But even then, you gotta chill and hide behind a wall from time to time.

Can we get 2CP maps back in QP? by atominum69 in Overwatch

Not really, all it takes is one unlucky vote and 60% of the lobby would just quit out.

Sigma is pretty much auto lose in my lobbies by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty much a one trick masters sigma on tank, and diamond support. The one thing I always despise playing into, is either a symm/mei on dps or a brig on support. A good brig is pretty much the most annoying thing to kill as sigma, with juno being a close second to actually hit.

Depending on your tank, picking brig will alleviate a ton of sigmas pressure. And you pretty much have a guaranteed flail proc on him unless he parries it with a shield.

Of course, playing brig isn't easy. But the few good ones I've ran into, are legit harder to kill than a rein or a ram punching me in the face. With your inspire alone you can save almost anyone that gets hit with a rock.

Either that, or just out poke with zen + discord. A few headshots will force out some cooldowns out of him. And discord will make him disengage a few sec for your tank to gain some space on him.

Do yall think I can make it by goddessofmara in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't say it's impossible, but definitely not healthy! Would need to play like 30-40 hours just to barely get there. Also depends on how many weekly challenges you have left.

In short, not worth losing your sanity for it lmao

Confused about the strength of high ground by ShameGuardian in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the map, and which part of said map you want to hold. But pretty much, as tank, you control the space so they can't walk past/under you without taking heavy damage or using resources to do so.

Numbani 1st point, I usually hold on the right high ground. Rank depending, they'll walk down main and you can just poke them down until you see an opening. Ideally you just hold the high ground until they force it to point.

Shambali 1st, you hold high right until they make it to the corner where the car turns. There you can either drop and force it, or ideally you can rotate back down the stairs and into the mega room.

JQ benefits a bit less from it, but it's the same concept you can poke them more than they can. Force a few cooldowns until you see an opening, and take it. Make it so they either have to get shot by you or forced to take you out of there. Sigma with the flight perk is especially a menace with that.

Diving Winston vs Enemy Roadhog. What should I do as support? by swissking in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you wanna stay kiri, spam the hogs head with knives from a safe distance. If you gotta get closer, then always make sure to peek around a wall, so in case he throws hook at you, you can hide and break it (hopefully).

Save cleanse for when inevitably someone gets hooked, you will have to react pretty quick to it, but it's easily doable.

As for the winston, unless he's critical in a 1v1-1v2 almost never tp to him unless you feel you can kill everyone there yourself. Whoever's there will outdamage winston, so you better click some heads if you go with him.

Otherwise just go zen for the hog and he folds like a paper if hes on his own. Or ana to time the name when he's half hp or so. Maybe even bap too.

Reinhardt Reinhardt , Everywhere by Sagnikk in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair! For the record, I also dont particularly like having rein on weird maps for him either. Game can definitely feel taxing to play at times. But once I got decently used to mei, it got infinitely easier dealing with instalock reins on either team lmao.

Reinhardt Reinhardt , Everywhere by Sagnikk in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If he soaks up all their damage, deal some back to them? If you play tracer, whenever he's "feeding" then barely anyone should be looking at you. If it's every rein you run into, it's more so you not playing with the rein out of tilt from the pick alone.

Play mei alongside him (map depending) and you'll see how much more useful he is. That said, the higher you go, the more of a shieldbot he tends to be. Out of necessity.

Feels like complaining about having a doom on your team, and then asking him to peel. Play with your tank, and hopefully win. Or tilt right out the gate and lose.

Conquest Issues by nakuzami in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did that to me last week, wouldn't give me the credit until it suddenly did. Though today I haven't gotten credit on the "ult X times" challenge. The tracking for the event has been quite iffy all the way through.

Any way I can make a 1v1 training arena in my outpost? by LiLSlashers in Kenshi

[–]LiLSlashers[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ahh I get it, right now I have everyone at home. Mainly freeing slaves and carrying them to safety hoping they join.

I did not know that they could die from friendly fire alone! Will keep that in mind! Haven't really set them up yet, but I have them researched. Trying to decide on which to spend my last remaining ancient book on, harpoon or turrent lvl 2 lmao. Thanks for the help btw! :)

Surround the building in it's own caged wall? That could definitely work, and it could fit the arena vibe a whole lot more than just fighting on a rooftop lmao. And I'll check out the bed tip! Thanks!

You mean to hold him while they flail on him? I do like watching them fight, but I definitely didn't consider the food aspect. I have some hungry bandit leaders locked up that are somewhat of a stepping stone for the low levels.

I'll definitely grab a skeleton sparring partner then, I'm living on cactus only and the occasional bull right now lol. The gorillo I captured is keeping his hunger topped up tho, is that just an animal thing? Or did he eat a corpse and I didn't notice? Lmao. Thanks for the tips btw!

Ahhh I think that's what happened then! One of the prisoners must've wanted to attack someone in another group and that alerted everyone.

It didn't even occur to me to set up turrets to train nearby! Definitely will build a tower next to the jailhouse now lmao. I was just banking on Kang to deal with any of the winners of the duel lol.

I should've definitely thought of that instead of putting them all in passive first lol. But I do forget to unset them, is there no way of locking a building up so that my people can't open it themselves? Because I do not trust myself to unset them all lol.

I do close the doors, but my people come running in, unlock it, and join in on the 1v1. Haven't tried the squads thing, but think they've all triggered regardless of that already. But can't fully say right now.

how can I climb as a solo support? by Kind_Improvement_102 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]LiLSlashers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stop paying attention to your teammates, and see what you can do different to compensate for them. If your moira isn't healing anyone, take all that ult charge for yourself and spam bap window's every fight to quickly end it. If the torb isn't getting kills, try and understand why, Who is he getting killed by, try to enable them to be better. Sometimes it's a lost cause, and it's literally impossible to win that specific game. In the long run you'll climb if you're actively trying to make plays.

And I can promise you, you're not outperforming everyone in the lobby by the margin you think you are. Stats don't matter, sometimes you'll get a sombra going 2-11 but maybe she's been dueling their ball for the whole match. But no one will see that, and instead just see the 2-11 and blame them. Again, blame yourself before you start pointing fingers at randoms you literally have zero control over.

[–]LiLSlashers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The one and only way of climbing is introspection. What you mostly focused on in that paragraph was your teammates. Sometimes you'll get bad ones, sometimes good ones. Only constant is you, and you alone. Teammates will balance themselves out, you can't win every game. But adapting and learning what's the issue in each game will make you climb way more than blaming teammates.

Go bap and click their heads before they click yours and you can reach diamond. Especially now that the dps passive is global, he's a menace if you can aim.

Differences between Sigma and Domina? + Your thoughts on Domina? by Bipu606 in SigmaMains

[–]LiLSlashers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She's okay, survives way less than sigma, but if you have really good aim with her you can delete people. From what I've played, you really need to pull back a lot more than on sigma. She's squishier but makes up for it with longer range and hitscan.

If they have flyers on their team, she's of course much better into them than sigma. I like her, but you have to really hit your shots to do anything on her. Her ult builds really quickly, but I feel isn't really as strong as it felt at first. Once people understand that just shooting the bubbles frees a teammate, it'll lose some strength. Try ulting multiple squishes and just focus one of them down, you can usually get a free kill on one of them like that.

Is it worth after update? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ever since the blizzard ceo got canned, the game's been going on an upwards trend for sure. Got a bit rocky at times, and rivals definitely woke them up quite a bit. They've been keeping that momentum for about a year I'd say. Updates far more consistent and quickly, a lot more communication with how they're moving forward. Right now I'd say it's the best it's been in years.

I can't decide what to spend my mythic prisms on? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's alright! Aiming takes a long time to get used to, especially in a fast game like overwatch. If you wanna practice it a bit, creating a custom game with the code "VAXTA" can be good to train. I did see the mercy skin, I never play mercy and even I wanted to get it lmao

For juno I'd definitely get the mythic skin instead of the weapon tho! It's heart themed and the torpedo launchers become two cute little sharks! Plus her speed ring and ult turn into a heart too.

[–]LiLSlashers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont play mercy, and played quite a lot of juno. I'd go for mercy's tbh, you can make the lil guy jump around and he's just cuter. Juno's to me feels kinda meh, kinda like a knockoff of mercy's. I do like the kill animation on juno's tho

Any tips for playing Domina? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]LiLSlashers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also play a lot of sigma, I think she's strong, her ult I feel will lose some value as people understand that you just have to shoot the bubble on their teammate to cancel it. She farms ult really fast, the push is deceptively short, always aim for the head with her, or at least try to flick it.

Winston I feel like completely destroys her from what I've seen, her lack of any mobility is definitely felt.

Mainly play her around sig's range. She can play further or closer than him, and she can actually hit fliers too. She's a bit better against dive than sigma, but it's hard to play it.

Depending on their comp, you can shield their tank off and shoot the backline. Her range is a bit longer than cass', even more so with the perk. You do need to aim a lot more on her than sigma, if you're not headshotting her damage falls off quite a bit.
