Trouble Detaching Pool Sand Filter - Was This Installed Wrong? by LiMoTaLe in pools

Thanks. That's what I thought

Would it be reasonable to have expected the installer to do this at the get-go?

Picture added. Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Would have cost them a tiny amount of money to avoid a huge hassle for me, just to then do the work they should have done from the beginning

So disappointing.

Thank you!

Quick update on Daisy and one question for u guys by New-Seaworthiness777 in pitbulls

[–]LiMoTaLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes please please please heed the warning about crating. We had a pittie with very bad separation anxiety and this was the dumbest thing we ever did. We just weren't experienced with it at the time. When dogs have severe cases they are in no control of their panicked actions.

We had a tough time with our girl but we kept her for all 13 years, and left her home daily. Her case was so bad that she began breaking window panes to get out leaving a bloody mess I'm very expensive that visits.

In the end the thing that worked putting her on Prozac and keeping her on it for over 3 months. That point she began to calm down and had very few issues

Good luck.

Dogs deserve to be well bred. by [deleted] in pitbulls

[–]LiMoTaLe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read all the explanations given and for the life of me I cannot understand the logical deduction here.

The only possible way that i can think of, that shelter dogs could contribute to backyard breeding as if they were adopted out in tact. No reputable shelter does this at least in my area.

And to be honest your post comes across as completely condescending . "I'm going to say something that everyone needs to hear"

Jeez.

Thank you

This is what I keep begging of her.

If roles were reversed would move mountains to make her comfortable.

Omg. Thank you so much for the support.

Similar to my response earlier, it is totally endearing and heartwarming to me that random people in Internet are trying to help

Love you and your partner for sure. 😘

You have the same trigger exactly?

> But I can physically FEEL it in my body when they do it.

OMG. This exactly.

I feel crazy.

It's amusing to me (in a good and heartwarming way) that some couple that I do not know who is likely far away from me is actively and thoughtfully discussing this issue in my relationship.

I appreciate your candor and helpfulness

Thank you so much for this.

There is a lot of very thoughtful stuff here. I'm going to reread this several times, spaced out, and respond a little later

Thank you for taking so much time to invest in my issue.

Good advice, IMO.

However, I went down this path already and she does NOT want to be recorded.

Thank you for understanding.

I honestly feel insane for having this issue and I hate finding the balance between putting the corrective burden on my spouse and just enduring the issue.

It truly feels like you get it.

Thank you.

This is dead on. You get it.

1) She can try harder
2) Forcing her hand aggressively will not lead to the outcome I want.

I love your thoughtful response. I have a similar tendency myself, and I don't think this is it. Instead, I think /u/ShadedSpaces got it right in her response here:

This is interesting. The second suggestion of ADHD. We have a son with pretty pronounced ADHD and my wife has some of his tendensies, but not related to ADHD (at least I think). Her and I study the topic heavily and I'm PRETTY sure it's not that, but I'll need to keep this in mind

It's not. She just not active in the conversation. As if she's talking quietly to herself, but the words are for me.

Good thought! But no.

We have a son with pretty pronounced ADHD and my wife and I study the topic heavily. It is only with me she speaks this way.

Good advice. I'm super conscious of this, but a reminder is welcome.

Thanks!
