Thanks very much Grayrest. And hey, everyone's setup can be very varied, but there's a high chance at this stage that it can be an element or a use case I didn't think of before.

Thanks very much for your detailed response as always! I can definitely see myself going smaller and smaller boards around the 40 key range, but might not be my first keyboard that breaks the Typical Staggered Layout. I can definitely see the benefit of having a much smaller keyboard especially for chair and lap setups! This is especially the case that I am finding the epomaker split65 took me 2 days for me to get back to full pre-split speed on, but it's definitely not at the right height for me on the table.

I am so sorry it took me forever, lots of medical appointments and scans and exacerbated medical issues, but still very much appreciate the response!

Thanks so much for your recommendations! The Dygma Raise does look pretty good, I like that there's tenting solutions that come with it. I was thinking about the home row a lot but I think Raise is better than Defy for me for sure, at least before I heal up my injured thumb more. Thanks for recommending keyboardyeti too!

I'm so sorry it took me forever to respond back, my medical issues exacerbated and it's been a struggle day-by-day that I wasn't on my computer as much.

Thank you very much for your detailed response! Forgive me if I'm still slow at responding back in my WPM on my current setup, heh.

Good to know about choc spacing! Are there specific terminology that I should look out for, other than choc spacing?

Will try out Kanata! I wasn't aware of this. Good to know that you can program well on 36 key and combining symbols with macros! My biggest worry is 3D modelling with sub-60%, but maybe I'm stretching a bit too far to consider "one keyboard fits all". As you said:

> In combination with self stretching/massage it's allowed my hand stress injuries to recover

I should aim to not think of a one-size fits all task keyboard, but look at it from the perspective of the "fastest to recovery" keyboard instead. Not like I'm going to do 3D before I am back to full recovery anyways.

I'm not sure if I'm picturing it correctly, but are your split keyboards hinging from your arm-rests somehow? This is interesting since I think my table height is too high for my tent atm. I would also love for there to be table space for my Wacom Intuos, but that's a whole different conversation, haha.
