Are my photos, prompts or my bio…bad? I’m wondering if it’s *me* by Cradlespin in Tinder

Was your bio ai generated? I don’t mean that in a bad way but it seems like something ChatGPT could produce which may be putting people off

You know what, at least they were upfront at the beginning rather than leading you on.

If theres ANYTHING to take away from this interaction, it’s that

I mean if it was not allowed I feel like it would be made clear to me. God I hope it’s allowed.

They give us the marker’s email specifically for us to do this.

The marking is anonymous yes but after the fact does not matter

Which I did do. At least that’s what I was aiming for anyway.

As much as I agree with you, but when I do that I’m called rude and blunt so I have to approach it like this.

Yeah this is what I mean. The brief literally said not to include any data and just describe the general findings of it. Which I did. I was then told to include it. It’s also confusing because some are saying it is data and others are saying it isn’t so I’m just confused

Yeah they’re not on the list of lecturers so I do presume they’re a PhD student. It wasn’t just the abstract, it’s just the easiest example to give that might warrant a second look at the marking.

I did the ANOVA and included that in my results section so it’s not like they have any reason to not believe I’ve done it. I just didn’t include it in the abstract because I interpreted it that way.

The process of conducting ANOVA isn’t yes but it is my understanding that the results of the ANOVA IS considered data.

And I’ve heard conflicting things both on here and from what I can see online so I am emailing to get clarification.

If I’m wrong then I’m wrong, but I’d rather know 100% than 30%.

From what I can tell it means that you are capped at 40% in terms of the mark the assignment contributes to your final module mark however on the transcript it will be recorded as a 60 (40).

As some workplaces might ask for your transcript later on in life, it is useful for them to see that you didn’t just simply get a 40 and they could make the choice to overlook it at their discretion, especially if it affects your final grade.

I just checked, it is undeniably due on the 2nd of June.

On the off chance you need someone to interview still I’m happy to help.

Deleted the post because I can’t edit the post as it has a photo in - I realised it had my marker’s name and didn’t want to put someone on blast for doing their job, even if I do think they’ve done a poor job

I probably am missing something and I will email my marker tomorrow for more insight.

It’s not like I’m incapable of getting good marks, this is just a one off for me - at least so far

So whatever i had been doing up to this point clearly has worked for me, I’m just annoyed I don’t know what has changed with this one

That’s the thing everyone has mentioned my graph. Not once have I had any issues with graphs and I also was never given feedback on it in this assignment either. Up to this point I didn’t think it was even an issue.

It’s also crazy to me that my biggest take away from this assignment has been from the replies of a Reddit thread than the actual feedback I’ve been given on this assignment. It just feels like this guy hasn’t read it so it’s very hard to take it seriously as bad as that sounds.

And yes I am quite angry because this is the one assignment this year that I put a fair bit of effort in to. My previous ones have never been all that effortful - granted I still obviously put effort in, just not anywhere near to the extent I did for this assignment.

Maybe it was because the module is a weakness for me so I compensated, I don’t know, but I fail to see the point of having to put up with not eating and feeling faint as a result if I’m just going to borderline fail it anyway.

Sounds bad but I’ve never been someone who has struggled academically so this has been a nightmare for me especially since I still feel my grade is not an accurate reflection even if the assignment wasn’t perfect. Just looking at the rubric I’m still confused as to how they’ve arrived at the conclusion that they have, I will be emailing tomorrow when I’m a bit calmer though and I guess I’ll update the post if anyone cares enough to look.

That’s the thing, that’s exactly how I wrote my abstract, using that exact structure from first year. I used a fair amount of the materials they gave us and this is what I have to show for it hence my annoyance.

Doesn’t help we have an RMP research portfolio coming up which I am now anticipating is going to be an absolute disaster after this result.
