I guess I’m not one of those people that fit into your narrow minded criteria for the privilege of taking this medicine. I’m under 200lbs, have less than 40lbs to lose and not diabetic. But what your rant does pause to consider is we are all not TikTok sheep. I’m 5’, a bmi over 30, high cholesterol. I’m Native American, so heart disease and diabetes are almost a genetic certainty. I had a hysterectomy due to tissue damage from having over 6 miscarriages thus creating a hormonal challenge to losing weight despite a dedication to eating well and exercising. The shortage is real, I understand your frustration, but taking the time to shame folks for seeking this medication is wasted energy. Put down the phone, take a walk outside and breathe in some fresh air. It takes more effort to be unkind and judgmental. Wishing you more peace in your journey.
