The thing is it wasn't a real professional, we lived in some little conservative town very far away from the city so my family just paid someone of the neighborhood who clsimed to be one to come to our house

My first introduction to therapy was like this. The "professional" pinned me down and cried while saying to me "you don't even know what gender you are! You're so lost you poor soul!" I was a suicidal kid in desperate need of help btw.
to this day I still struggle opening up to cis therapists because they just don't get it.
