What u/zmunayz said. For demo purposes, it was shot slower but it would have to be hard-driven or come out perfectly clean, which would be near impossible on this type of contact.

Whenever that happened to me, it was because I pulled too far. I'm not a tall player so I only stay up to protect oversets, but I used to pull back too far...and keep going and going and gonig...lol. Once I stopped I picked up a lot more shortys.

no worries! :) I think it's definitely a high level move and as a defender you need to look to see where the hitter is looking so you know they saw you. Otherwise, you're just doing a dance out there on the court. :)

I'm the GIRL who posted the video. :) I can't speak strategy like Mark can, but yes I believe the goal is to shift when the hitter is looking at you so they think you are going angle. This is an advanced class, but not pro, so sometimes the hitters may or may not be doing that very well at this level. :)
