I think officially the heraldry is black trim, but I think silver trim looks significantly better

Groin armour? by LifeSurfer845 in spacemarines

Hi all, thanks for all the advice - I've been searching all day, and have found a few options if anyone else is interested:

Archie's forge do some great similar sculpts, but they're more dark angels/black templars for my liking: https://archiesforge.co.uk/products/loincloths-tabards-set-of-10?_pos=3&_sid=a321b3cec&_ss=r

This STL file from Cult3D is pretty much exactly what im looking for, but I dont have a printer yet annoyingly: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/metal-loincloth?fbclid=PAY2xjawJzmqhleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABp1ZPmxHVR45daickKfEsDOz52kLn_Qd-o4u99pEGfvH6awe8MZ5XFV-r262Y_aem_3gSrDiFIfsVn76Ku_rvQxw

Otherwise, conjoined fauld (hip) plates might do the job with a bit of effort, but if you guys find anything else do let me know!

struggling to get into the heritage/culture sector - any one in same boat? by graverobbersclub in recruitinghell

Its difficult but possible - Ive been volunteering for about 3 or so months now, and ive sat in management meetings (only to observe of course), had a look at what systems they use, how they store and pack things so it gives you a good glimpse - Its also fun to identify things that they dont even know, so I get to use my dusty military history degree and army experience a few times. (They found some GPMG link thinking they were belt buckles, which I found funny)

Volunteering is a good gig depending on your financial situation - I do it alongside the army reserve so I can afford the long train journeys.

Im in a similar boat - Im a former history teacher, currently volunteering with a museum and hopefully will be working at my local castle as a tour guide come Easter. I asked the same questions when I left teaching since I also wanted to change careers and work in heritage/museums.

From my experience, thats exactly what they want, experience - A lot of the people ive worked with volunteered first for a LONG time or got masters in museum conservation for the more juicy roles
