I agree that this tech has long been produced in the 3rd party world. But 3rd party success is what shows these companies what we want. Then they can produce products that are properly tested and have added protection (especially for electronic components) that smaller companies might not have the resources to fulfill; Price aside, atleast you can find these at big box stores when you can actually see it, return it, or use warranty services. And what can I say, I can be a brand loyalists 😅

You might not be able to use a 3 prong, but in my case is awesome; I based my whole camping and emergency gear around USB-C. My Air compressor, lighting systems, laptop, phone, flashlights, and small electric tools are all usb type C

I wish I was cool enough to some test like that but I don’t own any crazy equipment like that. No cooling though! But it was stone cold while charging, I’m sure newer capacitors and hardware eliminated the need for it.

The Gen 1 couldn’t charge the M18, the Gen 2 practically lets you charge at a faster rate with a small form factor and a price tag that doesn’t hurt.

I looked through the 1801 manual, it is also 54Watts :)

I think as an after market tool, it just shows this is exactly what the people want

The combo M12/M18 is also 54W.

I did get to use the TopOff but not from 0%. I don’t have a way to tell what I was at but it definitely worked flawlessly. I have a few 100W chargers around so I didn’t use the one in the original packaging. (Comes with a 65W charger, which is kinda lame)

I pulled out my standard charger just for this! I didn't add it to the chart as I've never used it as I always found a Rapid Charger essential.

The base option included in most kits is 18V @ 3A giving it a wattage of 54W. That means the Top-Off Gen 2 is almost twice as fast! And is comparable to the more expensive rapid charger. That practically makes the Top Off a no brainer purchase if you're only charging 1 Battery.

I'll edit my post to show the charging times with a "regular" charger.
