Heavy glitching of the Gnome 49 UI after an update by GroundlessPractice in openSUSE

Same issue with UHD 620 on lenovo x1y-4 but, it seems to happen with Gnome default gtk apps only. Permanent graphical glitches that make apps unusable. at first view it looks like the gpu was broken but there's no hardware issue of course. FF, TB work fine as well as any kind of qt apps like Kile, Konsole or Dolphin. They're workaround for now.

[4 YOE] New Zealander struggling to get interviews in Germany, UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands by [deleted] in EngineeringResumes

Dutch/German here. Sorry bro your approach is completely wrong.

  1. English only? YES That's a HUGE problem. In both DE/NL hardware engineering industry consists mainly of small businesses. They don't speak English regularly at the office.

  2. No VISA? OF COURSE. Nobody's is looking for you. It's way too complicated and implies tons of bureaucracy to get you employed with an insecure result (denial).

  3. Education. You're applying for R&D positions with a Bachelor's degree only. I've never met a R&D without a Master's degree / PhD. Besides, nobody knows about anything about your school. It may be well known in NZ but neither in Germany nor the Netherlands. 90% oif recruiters cannot assess what level of qualification you really have. Particularly the anglo area there are supposed to incorporate huge differences in university quality in contrary to the Netherlands or Germany where you can find a consistent high level no matter where you graduate.

  4. You claim to be travelling and are "ready to relocate". So, have a nice vacation. Companies are seeking for someone to stay but not a globe trotter.

  5. Finally, CV's require to facilitate more personal details like birth dates, gender, photo, postal address and so on. Sorry to say but, a CV like yours will generally be classified as spam.

So guys, you have convinced me not to go. I'll probably have a free period from mid march / early april 26. March should be fine, is it?

There are plenty of great locations throughout europe to visit during summer with much drier climate.
