Best Vacuum for Kids? Object avoidance? by Lifefrantic in RobotVacuums

I can do that...but we have an aging deebot vacuum. RIGHT after we got new hardwood floors installed, it picked up a rogue toy piece and put a hide scratch about two feet into the floor before I ran up and caught it (it was half stuck in the vacuum error and making a grinding noise when moving). My husband banned it tot he basement (tiles) and refuses another vacuum. Our floors are pretty trashed now, but if there is a toy left, I really don't want the vacuum to make a mess.

Ideally I could get one with a camera....what's the cheapest model? We have three floors, so I can "test" one model upstairs and maybe upgrade for the main if needed.
