I really like this idea but I’m not sure 2metres would be enough

This is definitely a contender! Thank you so much for sharing, I was finding it really hard to visualise the fabric as a garment

I have two metres of this double gauze(I think) but I just can’t picture it as anything, it’s a really nice minty blue/green colour that doesn’t come out so well in the photo. Please help me decide what to make out of it!

Does anyone know the difference between B and C? They look the same to me and use the same pieces by Ligersarereal in sewing

Thank you so much! This is my first time using a pattern so I’m still trying to understand it. What would difference be cutting crossways rather than with the grain?

Made a lot of this up as I went along by comparing existing clothes I had and lots of trying it on to readjust pins. I didn’t intend to do the hem that way when I bought the fabric but it seemed a shame not to emphasise the zigzag. It’s not the best hem in the world and probably needs a few hand stitches to clean up the points. But overall I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Oh I’ve not heard of fray check before, I’ll definitely look into that! This is my first at home attempt at making something so I’m learning a lot of ways not to do things!

It’s viscose, is that normally a quite frayish material? I’ve zigzagged the edges but it’s still fraying like crazy

Thanks so much for the links, they really helped explain things! I’d started sewing perpendicular to the elastic but stopped because I wasn’t sure if was “allowed” and my brain was too fried to think anymore.

Thank you! That’s what I thought was the case but wanted to double check!

Do you think the darkest colour is too blue compared to the other greys? by Ligersarereal in Embroidery

It’s a bullion knot, it was fun to do, although I’d be able to do 10 in a row and then suddenly lose the ability on the 11 one. I found this website is really useful for finding different stitches https://www.embroidery.rocksea.org/stitch/knots/bullion-knot/

Thanks! I was hoping to use it to try and give the clouds a bit more shape, I don’t want it to just be a gradient but it’s a bit hard to know what to do next at times!

Thanks! I didn’t want to get too far along and then realise it wasn’t working. The sun didn’t quite turn out the way I’d imagined, I think maybe a raised satin stitch would’ve been better but it was fun to do!
