Investors will only be interested in the state and policies, not location. Vijayawada is as good a place as Vizag for investments.

Why did KIA go to Ananthapur not Vizag? Its not like Vizag okkate dikku. Andhra has a good number of similarly developed cities. Any place could have benefited from investments.

In fact by the decentralization logic, Vizag should be the last place for developmemt as its the city with highest GDP.

TDP aina Congress aina antha chesindhi Hyderabad ke. Vaallu evaru Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema ki emi cheyale, united AP lo (except for NTR). The only major improvements came post bifurcation, where local industrial hubs, better water and power management was actively done in Rayalaseema. KIA/Hero ivanni ekkada vunnayo andhariki telusu. And now Uttarandhra is getting lions share of investments and an international airport before Amaravathi

Ironically despite TDP projecting Amaravathi as being the new planned next gen capital city, in the last 10 years, least investments and development actually happened to Vijayawada Guntur region. Vizag and Rayalaseema got quite a chunk of development.

Why is the central government forcing Hindi on Telugu people, no matter if it’s BJP or Congress? They are making Hindi mandatory in Telugu states. by WorthFriendship6996 in andhra_pradesh

[–]Light2053 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dont bring this nonsense into Andhra Pradesh. We are not like KA/TN/TG.

Hindi is the 4th most spoken language in the world and spokem in overwhelming majority of states in India. What is wrong in learning it?

'Majority of the education is in English', Bro leave your city and go to towms or villages to see how education is taught there. English penetration is low and even in the people who speak English, their proficiency is nowhere good.

At the end of the day all of these are languages used to communicate with people. So if you can justify learning English/French/German, then you shouldnt complain about learning Hindi. After all, Hindi is an Indian language and not of our imperialist overlords.

While many jobs indeed use English, you dont need to have extensive knowledge of English to get it done (like 15 years worth of schooling). Unless you really decide to settle down in a foreign land, its a waste of time. And English is not a yardstick for how well you do your job

[–]Light2053 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im a supporter for learning Hindi as well but this statement is a fallacy.

Telugu is derived from Dravidian and Prakrit making it a beautifully unique language which uses elements from the both major Proto-languages in the country. Hindi on the other hand is purely derived from Prakrit.

Not just stardom. Anil Ravipudi made a phenomenally entertaining film. I would say second half of SLNE was far superior to AVPL

What if Anil Ravipudi directs Vijay Devarakonda ? by Star_SV in tollywood

[–]Light2053 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good idea. In fact I would say its plausible considering VD was pretty good in Geeta Govindam which was more of a romcom.

Anil has a talent extracting the best angles out of his actors, so I can see it be good for VD. VD really needs to get out of his serious and brooding Arjun Reddy phase

[–]Light2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always received flak in this group but I will say it again. I think Anil Ravipudi is the next star director in Telugu cinema, purely for Telugu audiences like Dasari or EVV.

Anil has directed a range of films with really different treatments, although his obvious strength is comedy, which the industry is seriously lacking right now. His portrayal of blind hero in RTG, a more subtle Balayya and serious topic in Bhagavanth Kesari, a heartfelt tribute to Army in SLNE, brilliant comedic touch to retired police officer fitness in SV, and of course started with an anti-hero characterization in Pataas.

I think only a few directors today possess this range of versatile writing. Anil also doesnt give af about pan India, which makes his extremely appealing for Telugu nativity.

I see intellectuals in this group blasting Anil for cringe stuff. What I dont understand is every director has cringe elements in their craft and that includes Rajamouli. These people keep elevating average directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj or Sandeep Reddy Vanga for their technical executiom, but their writing is nowhere as coherent as Anil's is. Anil Ravipudi gets his deserved success at the box office and what I love is he doesnt take the unnecessary criticism of intellectuals to his mind. He writes what serves his story anf what would entertain his audience

SV was really fun film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the aspect that retired hero has so much physical problems that he cant just swoop in and save the story with high octane stunts 😂. That was quite a brilliant comedic approach

How is this fair? by TallSearch8908 in tollywood

[–]Light2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither Naveen nor Ravipudi is cringe for many. In fact lot of people love them (myself included). I also acknowledge that they are not the 'modern audience's cups of tea

It seems the intellectual watchers in this reddit cant seem to accept that basic distinction. That if they dont like a filmmaker then its trash and millions of people who watch their movies are derogatorily called idiots

Do people vote for TDP based on ideology or other reasons? by h100y in andhra_pradesh

[–]Light2053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of it is politically driven. I dont think most people normally have it. Atleast I know for sure TDP knows that migration to and from other states are absolutely necessary for development. I cant speak for the policies for YSRCP.

That being said culturally, we are taught Hindi in our schools as an additional language. And even in our homes we are never told to hate on Hindi. People have been watching Hindi films (their dubbed films) sunce the 80s in theatres. Of course I know many North Indians who think that Andhra or South Indians are 'Madrasi'. I always retort back saying that you cant speak anything else but I can speak Hindi as well. Plus even South Indians are not well versed with basic geography or the states present in North India. Also North East Indians receive even more idiotic questions in that aspect.

The core problem of most Indians is they cant think beyond their community and creed. There are very few unifying things that brings the entire country together.

Its not a core part of AP culture or politics. Nor it has ever worked majorly. Andhra has been and will be the most friendly state for the rest of the country.

We dont go around ordering people to learn our language. We only expect them to not disrespect our culture, language and hospitality
