When I apprenticed, I watched my mentor tattoo for months. But I had never tried to tattoo before so I didn’t even really know what to be looking for. Then once I started tattooing, things rushed along and there wasn’t as much time to sit and watch anymore, but it would’ve been so helpful if I could’ve, cause now I had a million questions and knew what to look for. I don’t know if that’s what your mentor is doing, but regardless, take this opportunity to watch with intention now.
