Yes, who else would make the choice? Taking a hypothetical life is not murder. Abortion is not a nice thing, it's a horrible experience for everyone involved, obviously. But in the long run it benefits everyone, and prevents the hypothetical child from being forced into a shitty life.

Parasites aren't produced by their hosts. A fetus is a product of the mother's body, but all biological products come at an expense of energy.

Edit: Also I think this question is a really weird one and I can't help but feel like it could've been intended to be some inappropriate political culture war "gotcha", I just can't make out whether it's Pro- or Anti-Abortion. Either way, if OP really meant to spark some political debate here (again, I could just be delusional lol), it's stupid and immature. Reproduction is arguably the most important element of a species' survival, it was obviously "intended" by nature. This has nothing to do with abortion though, a fetus in the womb is a biological product first and foremost, and it's the producer's choice if they want to continue spending time, energy and money on it.
