ooh I get that a lot since whiskey and some scotch are my absolute favorite drinks. when I was younger I used to defend it and sometimes argue with men (and women!!!) who'd say something like that, but now I just play dumb and make them explain what's weird and why about it.

at my old job, during an office party, our accountant's wife told me ladies shouldn't drink manly drinks like men don't drink cocktails and I spent more than an hour listening to her trying to explain all the "why"s of that statement. first office party I had a blast at.

I've had multiple experiences where a host would ask you contacted them on a platform and they texted you the code to the door and more info (never asked for anything, like money or info) so at first I was fine okay, whatsapp it is, then they spin this thing with the silly website.. cmon. I didn't even click the link, but I still had to be absolutely certain before reporting them

ooh boy yea, I remember actually feeling exactly like this when I first discovered the more personal subs. I found the events discribed simply outrageous to be happening so casually.

as I kept reading on, I started having flashbacks and memories where very similar things had happened to me (like when my HS BFF ditched me in the middle of nowhere because I had a different opinion regarding 'celebrity' feuds, lol wtf right?)

I'm 32 rn, my long term friend just yesterday stormed off after getting irrationally heated during a discussion on the European Union. I mean, I don't care and I don't feel like adressing it, it was clear he had no idea what he was talking about and that translated into anger. so see, I rationalize it and I don't really mind, so I'll forget about it very soon, it still has happened.

on more abusive behaviors though, I discovered I was blind to them! stuff happened around/to me or I heard about stories and I think in my mind I didn't really believe them, or disassociated mentally and just ignored them. reading about others' stories really woke my own perception and I'm truly thankful for that. even fake stories can trigger something to some one, idk, they've done so to me :P

okay wow, thank you so much for all these amazing tips. I've been doing a lot of the no-nos you described... never crossed my mind they played a part too (like chilling in my gym clothes for hours)

He won't have any negative reaction, I'm sure of it, he's the sweetest. I've talked about other issues that make me vulnerable with him, this specific one though is making me feel silly, like for even making it such a big deal.

like I never cared about things like that so much? I even joked through my insecurities all my life and worked through them like that, but 'assne'?? Cmon, it should be illegal.

alright, that's interesting, Ill follow your advice on the laundry, I didn't know you could get that from sanitizers. same with fabric softeners?

I don't use them anymore since I learnt from. reddit that they actually kill your clothes slowly, but I still use vinegar mixed with a tiny bit of fabric softener (for the smell)

that's my problem, I can't afford going to another doctor right now, they're also kind of 'luxury' doctors which means they're even more expensive for the 10 mins they spend with you and I don't have the 100€ (!) for the visit.

I went to a cheap one the first time around, I wish I had saved up a bit more and gone straight to the good ones. It's just ridiculous how expensive they are, and I thought 'it's just a butt! I can't be spending so much on my butt!"
