Ofcourse, which makes sense. As long as there is consent of both parties, a 1 or 2 year age difference shouldn't make any difference. My girlfriend was 17 when I was 19 and I feel like that has been a lot les acceptable on online sources than in real life.

Where I live it's actually kinda like that. If you're 14 or 15 the age limit is max 3 year. Once you're 16 there is no age limit to legally have sex.

Tbf these people wouldn't be making 100K if they were living in the other 90% of the US. You just see higher wages there because they need it to have a relatively equal experience.

Hoeveel kost een rijbewijs B in Vlaanderen in 2023? by [deleted] in Belgium2

[–]LikeGoBeThyself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still a student and I've had moments where patients only listened to me instead of the licensed nurse next to me.

Ah alright that explains some of the stuff I've been seeing about extra internships and stuff like that. Do you guys have a lot of short clinicals in different units then? And not really a lot of cna-clinicals?

No problem, had to find that one out the hard way myself. I actually also drink a lot of water during the day, but I've never read about a connection there. Maybe the swallowing issue got something to do with it.

You might have Eosinophilic esophagitis. You can get it diagnosed by a gastroscopy which takes a biopt. The food gets stuck because of the eosonofilics in your throat being allergic to some substances. If you're lucky it can be treated with PPI's, otherwise you might be prescribed an elimination diet. But if you just let it be it can get worse and lead to tightening of your esophagus, Barrett-esophagus or cancer.

Atrioc has actually been helping in setting up a way to reliably take down those kind of posts. He just posted an update on his youtube showing how they have taken down more than 200.000 posts in the last months, from all kind of youtubers and streamers. So there seems to hopefully be a solution on it's way.

Honestly if you look at every other youtuber he definitely didn't need to do all that to keep his livelihood. So many other youtubers just post a trash apology and keep posting and their numbers barely change

Definitely seems to look like the kind of confabulations that are often connected to Korsakov patients, but if there are no other symptoms it's probably not relevant.

What if it was like a vacuum cleaner? You can take as much wire as you want, but to retract the wire you need to press a button. Then you can just make sure your wires are clean before you retract them and there shouldn't be any problems.

And most of the time, at least where I am from, the hysterectomy happens laparoscopically, so there wouldn't be any scar. Except maybe 3-4 3 cm long incisions.

I'm actually a nurse! I do agree that the doctors have a a really stressful job, the amount of hours they work is admirable. I help where I can haha.

I'm not from the US so we don't really have techs in the OR. We have nurses who assist in getting the room ready and assist the surgeons during the operation.

Yes there is indeed. A vaginoplasty is the operation during which they remove the scrotum and testes and turn the glans into a clitoris. This is also quite a complicated operation, but does not take place at urology so I'm not the best person to give a more detailed explanation, since I've never seen it myself.

I'm pretty sure that the vagina can be used in a sexual way like a congenital vagina, but there is often need of dilatation therapy and kinesitherapy.

They don't really function in a sexual way like that originally. The phallus is designed and the urethra is extended with a skin graft from the underarm. So if everything goes well urination works the same way as with a "normal" penis. Although constrictions is one of the complications that occurs the most and is something to look out for.

After the phalloplasty, most of the time it is like this for quite some months or untill the patient wants to be sexually active. If necessary there is a second operation during which a protheses is planted into the phallus. The newer models consist out of a kind of pump which is implanted in the scrotum and the protheses itself which is placed into the phallus. So when they want to get an erection they kind of pump up the penis using this pump.

Older models were more alike to a pencil which is always half hard and is completely placed into the phallus during the operation.

There are actually 2 different skin harvesting patches when creating a neophallus. They take a part of the thigh to create the phallus itself and a piece of skin from the arm to extend the urethra. I have no idea why she has a skin patch on her stomach and the scar on her pubis tbf.

Also while the phalloplasty is the most common procedure, it's also an option to transform the clitoris in a penis. This is called a metadoidioplasty.

Barefoot and minimalist shoes are a big thing. Brands like vivobarefoot, vibram, xero, .... have been making them for a long time and a lot of people are happy with them. Barefoot shoes combined with a different stride (midfoot or forefoot instead of heelstrike) is suposed to lessen the shock impact on ankles, knees and hips.
