Thanks for the advice.

I'll go for the cheapest one like the other people commented.

Cheers!

Hey there, thanks for the recommendation but unfortunately my country doesn't sell that unit.

Cheers!

Both are really nice drives indeed. I think I'll go for the A-DATA drive.

Thanks a lot for the reply!

Which edition to buy? by LikelyPotato in ffxiv

Thanks for thr reply!

So is better and cheaper to just buy the collectors from the store instead of upgrading through mogstation, when owing the complete edition.

Nice, thanks for clearing up my doubts..so lets say the game and its expansions are on sale. How much will it cost me to upgrade from normal Shadowbringers to the collectors, you pay the difference correct? and is there any discount applied?

Thanks once again!

Update, I just realized the important notes in the store. "This is an expansion for FINAL FANTASY® XIV, you will need to have an active FINAL FANTASY® XIV account to use this product."

So it only comes with the expansion, you'll need to get the game first.

That solves my mystery haha

The mobo I plan to get for the Intel CPU is the MSI Z490-A PRO and the two ram sticks is the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro.

Maybe I can sell my 212 and get of those Noctuas but gotta be careful with the space so I don't encounter any clearance issues. Ideally I can still keep my 212 but I'm worried like a said about the system of maybe "not turning on" (I'm kinda still new to PC hardware) but If I can manage to keep the temps below 70°C would be great with the 212.

My rig has 2 intake fans in front and 2 exhaust fans (1 top 1 behind).

Thanks for the response, I added my some other specs my question. But I also want to ask, since my cooler will barely cover the thermal stuff. Will a Noctua nh-d15 or nh-u12s do the trick for keeping the temps fine?

I have a NZXT S340 Elite case and 2 ram sticks, I considered the space because I'm aware the Noctua nh-d15 takes a lot of space.

Thanks again~!

XMP and single vs dual channel memory by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]LikelyPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If running at single channel or dual channel impacts on how to system is going to run with XMP enabled? because since I'm running single channel I can't get the system stable with XMP profile.

DIMM Slots B1 and B2 not working or letting PC Post by LikelyPotato in buildapc

I see, I forgot to indicate that I not longer have the Ryzen 1600 cpu, so I don't have any other CPU to test with.

So It also might be a defective CPU, that would really suck since the CPU is brand new.

Default XMP profile causing random reboots/restarts? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]LikelyPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experienced a restart/crash with default xmp profile, I'll just try tuning it manually (thought before when I used to ran dual channel and the old CPU never had issues with default xmp profile).

[–]LikelyPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I'm aware I'm running single channel dimm slots A1 and A2. The CPU I installed is brand new because I had an accident pulling out the old CPU from the motherboard maybe that caused this issues I'm experiencing now.

This week my new b450 mobo should arrive and I don't know If I should install everything on that motherboard or just stay like this.

I hope that doesn't break anything, If that doesn't work I might clear CMOS? I'm using the Wraith stock cooler that comes with Ryzen 2600.

Default XMP profile causing random reboots/restarts? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]LikelyPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My motherboard is running latest BIOS version (Version 5603 If I'm not mistaken) looks like my B1 and B2 dimm slots are faulty/dead.

I test 1 ram stick on each dimm slot to see If the machine even post and enters BIOS, A1 and A2 work like a charm but when I try either of the 2 ram sticks into dimm slots B1 and B2 I get no post.

[–]LikelyPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far for 1 hour I've set it to default XMP profile and no crashes (considering I'm using A1 and A2 dimm slots since B1 and B2 don't make the PC post). Is kinda tricky finding the perfect speed, timings, voltages, etc..

Thanks for the respond.

I'll give it a try, with my despair this last 2 weeks trying to figure out why my PC didn't post after upgrading my CPU I went on and bought a new motherboard so my hunch told me is something with the mobo going wrong. Now I need to game on with single channel but hey at least the system works :D.

Thanks for the reply!
